      Hello i am bcom graduated now and want to do MBA . But iam really confused between India and abroad? But thinking of abroad can have many difficulties as it requires high GMAT score, Work exp minimum 2-3years and many more requirements and high tution fees and cost of living as compared to India. So what should i do now ??

    • @sameer-kamat

      @@farjadsiddiqui8201 All those reasons you've listed are correct. However keep in mind that getting into a top bschool MBA in India can be very tough to. You'll have to compete with lakhs of others in the CAT exam. But yes, the work experience and fees would be easier to manage once you get in. If you can't wait for a few more years, take the CAT and try to crack it.

      Sameer Kamat thanks for the reply sir. I have got the college option of Welingkar PGDM Ebiz. But iam confused to join as if i want to do highet studies abroad or do job in foreign countries so will that be a problem or not as welingkar is in top 35 ranked Bschool in the country?

      @@farjadsiddiqui8201 Welingkar isn't an international brand, so it's unlikely that it'll help you get a job abroad. If your primary intention is to study and work abroad, better to be patient for a few years and build your profile first.

      1. Depends on the MS program you're applying to. Mostly it would be GRE and TOEFL.
      2. Check the official websites to see if they mention any cutoff. If not, go ahead and apply.

    Always wanted to go for an MBA abroad.
    I have never been a quants guy in my entire academic life. I usually and always struggle with it anyway.
    I have been preparing for GMAT for almost 5 months now ,taking a break from work, giving at least 6-8 hours everyday as well as have done online courses like E-GMAT and WIZAKO. Have started giving mocks and realised it may just not be my cup of tea, The situation has given me sleepless nights ,as i am not even able to reach the 600 mark, moreover the speed at which the exam goes seems unbearable and unmanageable. I want to apply in the second round of applications. A friend of mine just told me i could switch to GRE as it is a less logical and less quants driven exam, plus the reading and quants skills i have developed would help.
    IS GRE even a good bet to switch for MBA applications from an Indian male prospective?

    • @MBACrystalBall
      @MBACrystalBall  4 роки тому

      Hi Kunal, sure you can switch to GRE if you think GMAT isn't your cup of tea. Here's a story of someone who tried her hand at the test multiple times before making the switch: www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/2019/08/07/switching-from-gmat-to-gre-better/
      Most of the top bschools don't differentiate between scores, as the number of GRE scores submitted have gone up.
      The big concern would that you don't have much time to start the GRE test prep, take the test and also prepare for the application work in parallel. Round 2 deadlines are closer than they appear!

    Sir, I have still a confusion about two thing
    1-I want to prepare for GRE specified for economics do I have to prepare for both the tests of GRE,general test and subject test or general test only
    2-after qualifying (in case)what about degree fee and admission fee is this free means on scholarship or do we have to pay every fee
    Plz answer

    • @MBACrystalBall
      @MBACrystalBall  4 роки тому

      1. Check the website of your target programs to see if they ask for only the general test, or do they need subject test scores too.
      2. The GRE fee is just for the test. All the other fees and costs will apply based on the program.

    I have completed a 3 years bachelor degree from University of Madras . Now if I want to get enrolled in an MBA program at a US university named , University of Arkansas at Little Rock, do I need to write my GRE test even though if my GPA is above 2.5 ?

    • @MBACrystalBall
      @MBACrystalBall  4 роки тому

      Hi Dharti, are you currently in Arkansas? They seem to offer only evening / weekend MBA. Why are you not looking at full-time MBA programs that have a better market value?

    • @dhartibhatt8541
      @dhartibhatt8541 4 роки тому

      I'm not in Arkansas but my aunt is living there from past 15 years and so I'm comfortable with the evening MBA which I can complete within 18 months. So I just wanna know that even though if my GPA is above 2.5 do I need to take up GRE or GMAT test for enrolling in an MBA program @ UALR

    • @MBACrystalBall
      @MBACrystalBall  4 роки тому

      For part-time programs, most low ranking universities generally don't care about GMAT or GRE scores, or low GPA for that matter. So you might get an admit. But best to reach out to them directly rather than depend on others to give speculative answers. Also, be aware that comfort is one thing and getting real value out of the investment is another. Good luck!

    Respected Sir,
    I am in the 4th semester of My B.Tech(IT), I want to get an MS Degree in Computer Science From US. I need some guidance regarding how and when to start preparing. Should I Start Preparing for TOEFL First as I am Thinking to Get GRE Coaching from the 5th Semester? I will be taking the coaching from T.I.M.E. is it a good place to get coaching? And is there any minimum age requirement for MS?
    I will be waiting for your reply.
    Thank You.

    • @MBACrystalBall
      @MBACrystalBall  4 роки тому +5

      The best way to understand the requirements of MS programs is to visit the official website of your favourite university. You can start GRE prep anytime, but keep in mind that it has a validity of 5 years. TOEFL is relatively easier to tackle, so most do it after GRE. For both tests, many prefer self-study, as it's cheaper and more flexible.

    I have seen some public universities in Germany that doesn't ask gre in the admission requirements. Does that mean the university is not top ? All of them have qs ranking less than 700

    • @MBACrystalBall
      @MBACrystalBall  3 роки тому

      That's a call for the applicant to take whether the university is worth is or not. Public universities are generally not as selective, which is why many still prefer going to reputed ones as opposed to free options.
