Toyota Gazoo Racing announces the GR Cup - Toyota's all-new single make racing series. Beginning with the 2023 season, the GR Cup will be sanctioned by SRO America, the established leader in GT racing for the past 30 years. The GR Cup will offer affordable competition in 14 events over seven prestigious circuits across the United States.

Awesome! Toyota, this is one of the reasons you are on the top of the car manufacturing space. While other car companies pump money into ad campaigns and virtue signaling and gimmicks, Toyota just focuses on making quality cars and nothing exposes the strengths and weaknesses of a car's design like motor sports. Taking that knowledge and passing it down to consumer cars is how you make something that lasts plus motor sports are entertaining to watch. I can't wait!

This is like the best beginner track car because you can practice in it and be a better driver rather than having a fast track car and not being able to use the cars power in a corner especially bcus you're too scared to crash it

Also, how about some TRD performance accessories for Canadian models of the GR86? Why such a delay to offering a big brake kit and other TRD parts for the NA market that are already available in Japan?

I put money down to reserve a GR86….can’t crunch numbers with finance because they have no clue what options will come on the first one they get. TOYOTA: can you update the website with all available options so I can see how broke my bank account will be once I am able to configure options as I want? Best thing I could think of was go to the Subaru page and build a BRZ to find out what is available for ad ons. Not sure they will be the same though. Help!

HUGE MARKUPS like all the GR cars ar now. I'm guessing the base model is going to be marked up at least 20k and the TOP model that they are only making 200 of a year with the carbon roof and all the upgrades. Probably be a 100k+ car at the dealers.

They gave us the Corolla we want, still waiting on the Camry. They release the trd with a beautiful design yet lackluster performance for a v6. As the years pass they become less and less tuner friendly, and stock I’ve seen previous generations with 0-60 times faster than the new trd. Give us the ultimate grocery getter Toyota please I’m begging you. We need turbos on at least one trim of the Camry and the trd was the perfect opportunity for it
Kind of frustrating that there are enough cars apparently to do this, but not enough to sell me a GR corolla while I'm literally standing in the showroom waving cash in their face

Please Toyota build your own sports cars, not more colloborations. People are impressed what you did with the Yaris GR. Subaru didnt need be along with the BRZ, and you didnt need to borrow parts from BMW. Build your own cars, and gain all the reward. Two guys who drive supercars everyday bought a GR Yaris. Bring the GR yaris on limited run numbers to North America. I have friend's that want one.
They actually needed Subaru's Boxer engine for the 86 project, I do agree they should do a lot themselves though!!
