Its an astounding claim as the birth and death date were always taken as factual.

Wow, it's impressive how someone can navigate life with such a lack of common sense and still manage to inhale and exhale.
It's funny that archeology and historical documents, the further you go into them, vindicate the new testament and even aspects of the Old Testament, but Islam is left looking more and more insecure.
It also has all these weird features not present in the previous messages from God. Like being only understood in Arabic, a language that didnt even have a proper written form until many years after it was supposedly handed down by God and written down perfectly. Supposedly transmitted perfectly from then until today, but also had many different versions until 1922 when a single one was finally decided upon (see: Cairo quran).
And then in practice seems like a regressive step, antithetical to human flourishing, but very conducive to extreme tribal violence and imperial wars.
Its almost like it was created by largely illiterate 7th century Arab tribes to assert their supremacy and to expand and consolidate their new empire.
Curious isn't it.
