Hello and welcome to my UA-cam channel. In today's video we will be taking a look at a new game coming in 2025 called roadcraft. i think it will be the heavy machinery spinoff of snowrunner and i think we will get a snowrunner 2.0 at some point. what are your thoughts?

We always complained about wanting to fix those terrible roads and fix bridges on snowrunner.
thats very true. i know one of my viewers still complains about it weekly. says i hate maine cuz that bridge by the garage taymyr has the bridge u cant fix and so on lol. maybe this is the game for them
I do hope this stops the dlc for snowrunner. I want a finishing point so I can start a run and know where the finish line is finally.
@@GhostofCerberus yeah that’s totally understandable. It doesn’t have switch listed so I don’t think you would be able to get this new game. I just hope they have snowrunner content until snowrunner 2.0 comes. But yea for sure knowing when the seasons stop would be nice so you know how much you have left they keep adding more my save gets up to like 60 percent and then down to 50 then to 60 lol.
I hope it's got some quests in Russia. Boy, do they need good bridges 😆

TBD... not sure I want to be Expeditions baited again. Looks cool but I'm a little leery. Give me a Snowrunner 2 or year 5 and I'll throw money at it
i liked the way the vehicles felt and a few things in expeditions but there is just no point in doing anything twice and got kinda boring as everything is just drive around. this is more my type of game with con sim snowrunner mixed ill be playing for sure. but i am a bit skeptical for sure. high hopes low expectations is how i live my life haha. not as many let downs. but yes i hope we still get a year 5.

I didn't buy Expeditions. I could see it wasn't what I wanted to get in a new snowrunner like game from the previews. This is exactly what I want in a new game. That being said I instantly pre-ordered The Walking Dead Destinies because it was what I wanted in a new game. You probably know how that worked out for me. I will probably buy Road craft anyway. It's can't be that bad can it?
Uh, is this just a refined version of the logistics part of Snowrunner? HELL YES!
it seems like all the people who complained about not being able to fix roads and bridges are in luck they have a game for that now lol. but yeah it seems like it will be about fixing the roads and bridges and then some deliveries to like getting the power station back up and stuff. so snowrunner with some building aspects maybe a few less deliveries

Tracked vehicles!
yeah they have a cool photo of a tracked vehicle or 2 which is awesome! one thing that looks like it might be a cool thing is that the trucks are a bit more specialized so we cant just have a big heavy truck that will be able to do everything. and i live that. some trucks will be very good at certain jobs and they will for sure have a few that can do a fe2w things but having many specialized trucks is cool so that no one vehicle it way to strong.
@@G4mingWithJJ Overall it looks like they're going back to what made the games good, seeing as most of the trucks are Mudrunner-era ones.
I assume we will have maybe 10 trucks at most, and everything else will be even more specialized.
Maybe they will add load capacity.
I really hope they won't reuse add-ons from Snowrunner, they are so much worse than the ones from older games.
But most importantly, yes, it does look like we won't have a do-it-all truck this time, and that is always good.
Consider me hyped.
I loved to rebuild stuff in Snowrunner, so i would have fun with it. So i wishlist it.

I’m ready for the next mainline snowrunner game. But imagine if it took aspects of road craft, expeditions and the existing snowrunner missions and rolled them all in to one game. That would be epic. So many different kinds of tasks and missions to do

I hope they add trailer hauling missions in this game like Snowrunner. As it has been struck by natural disaster, heavy semi trailers for construction /power plant.
And weight sensitive bridges where if you exceed the load capacity of the wooden bridge, it will break and you'll need to rebuild it again.
And hopefully, Sabre adds manual transmission mode. It has been so many years, and we are still stuck on automatic transmission 😂
Yeah people have asked for manual for a while breakable bridges is a cool idea I’ve mentioned that before as well. I also hope we get trailers we have not seen any yet so let’s hope so but we will have to wait and see it’s very early yet. Do you think you will be getting the game?
@@G4mingWithJJ if we have snowrunner type logistics transport with trailer hauling, I might. But if not, very unlikely because I didn't even bought Expedition as there's no trailer hauling system there 🙂
The fact that Spintires and Mudrunner had functional manual transmissions and they took it away in Snowrunner is still my biggest gripe with the game.
It looks interesting but here's the real question are they going to stop pushing out content for snowrunner after a season 16 comes out or are they going to keep popping out like new Standalone vehicles or something
they said it was the last scout vehicle so i think its coming to an end but i think if they have 3 season left (14,15,16) and then another year that gives them a good amount of time to work on snowrunner 2.0. expeditions will probably be done with dlc after year 1 freeing up some people.

The visuals and mechanics of this game seems great, and I'll definitely get it if I can when it comes out.
It looks like it has some hauling to fix things but not sure if they have any hauling once stuff is fixed I kinda doubt it but I’m really looking forward to this one. It’s right up my alley with construction simulator And snowrunner and farming simulator being my 3 games it’s sort of a mix of them.
RoadCraft is actually a good name for this game. The gameplay includes key features from SnowRunner, like transporting materials, but it also has significantly more features when it comes to road work. This looks like a SnowRunner 2, but the title RoadCraft fits better. I'm glad to see this; it's a step up from SnowRunner.
It's interesting how they saw two possible expansions from SnowRunner. If you expand the scout gameplay from SnowRunner, you get a new game: Expeditions: A MudRunner Game. And when you expand the truck gameplay in SnowRunner, you get RoadCraft. I also think there will be 100% year 5 season pass for snowrunner. And in the future there will be a snowrunner 2
I think its important to have an overall purpose. This game has huge potential.

Yeah I think it’s their first try at a heavy machinery off-road game. Sort of construction sim farm sim and snowrunner combined.
The devs actually said today it is not snowrunner 2. As like the next game of the series. So it’s meant to be a spinoff for heavy equipment. I mentioned in my video both of what you said in the bottom so I totally agree lol I think we get a year 5 and a snowrunner 2 down the road so it’s nice to hear from the devs this is now the next game in the series it is meant to be a sorta spinoff. I think they are testing things so they know what to put into the next game.

I always thought SandRunner would eventually come out. This looks like something I’ll be buying and playing along side of Snowrunner.

My one hope is that we get things to do on the roads once we have built them, at least simple delivery and cargo runs
that was one of the first things i mentioned as well. i hope once i finish these roads i have a reason to use them but i kinda doubt it to be honest. ill be getting the game either way, also sorry for getting to this so late i had lots of comments. i hope they do a good job with it. but even if they do not i think i enjoy these kinds of things so i would still enjoy the game. i like farming simulator snowrunner and construction simulator
Thinking about resources of road: basically need a rock crushing plant, an oil company to provide bitumen and a cement factory (or shipment of these). I really looks like a cool game
Yeah they mentioned one of the tester people cut down 75 trees cuz they misunderstood how much wood was needed for something I think they said bridge but don’t quote me on that one lol. But yes maybe collect rocks crush for sand or gravel not sure what other resources we would all have maybe that haven’t announced them all yet who knows.
It totally looks like a DLC for snowrunner AGAIN, also i supoose that LR defender will be non-branded, like it is that orange bronto lada niva marsh (monster truck don71 pick up)

This game has the potential to be great, but the key is the developers need to add licensed vehicles to the game, the lack of branded vehicles shown in this trailer makes me nervous, also I'm not a fan of all the old Russian trucks and tractors, they can be featured but newer American and European equipment need to be part of the equation. Also a mod browser needs to be made available in the game either from day one, or very, very early after release. Do not make the same mistake with this game like you did with Snowrunner!
im okay without branded vehicles like GTA they have made the same vehicles in many games and now its kinda just like whatever. licenses just kinda complicate stuff. they are nice so im okay with it either way i wouldnt say its make or break though. thats my personal opinion. but yes multiplayer and mod browser should be day 1 not like previous games. where its added later.do you think you will be getting it? i know i will as i really enjoy the other games that it is kinda mixed with.
@@G4mingWithJJ I get what you're saying with GTA, but cars in GTA ain't the main focus, with a game like this the Heavy equipment are the main focus, that's why it's more important to have licensed vehicles. Let's use Gran Turismo as an example, if Gran Turismo should release a new game and there's absolutely no licensed cars in there that would be a huge problem. Wouldn't it? it makes for a better experience when people can actually drive and use their favorite Trucks and tractors that they see out and about IRL. I for one won't be buying this game if it doesn't have licensed vehicles and just consists of old Soviet equipment.

I think they are just experimenting and going where the wind blows. Whatever is successful, they'll follow. Snowrunner still has more eyes on it than Expeditions, so Snowrunner has still been the focus and Expedition hasn't. If this gets good traction though, Snowrunner will have less focus, and this will get all the attention

Hopefully they add some form of in game communication so crossplay can be enjoyable. I hate completing entire regions with random players and cant even ask for their discord
yeah i think the question has been asked but maybe not. but they basically said they dont want to talk about things that have not been shown yet. but they said to keep an eye out for the community update as it should have some info. not with that question specifically but just in general. but i really hope they improve the coop stuff.
always with saber games, the trailer looks very expansive and sandbox - then the final game is "move to yellow square, press interact, watch cutscene"
Looks like a lot of fun, but the main enjoyment in SnowRunner is definitely the hauling, so I really hope there’s a Year 5🤞🏻
i would agree with this 100 percent! thats my favorite part (hauling the huge trailers) then hauling cargo. so i hope we get a year 5 and that gives them time to build out a snowrunner 2.0 or whatever you want to call it. i also really like farm sim and construction sim so this is a game right up my alley in terms of stuff i like to play.
I'm pretty hyped. Always wanted to ability to remove rocks and trees from the roads. Being able to fill up depressions and create roads is even more that I hoped for. 🎉🎉🎉

Amazing, looks beautiful and interesting. We can hope for improved mechanics and interesting locations. This is exactly what was missing in snowrunner, when after completing all the missions in the location, you still got a whole bunch of broken roads and unkempt appearance of settlements. Here we can probably assume that they will give the opportunity to improve the locations to the ideal. Focus Entertainment good luck in the new project!
yes i know alot of people who say after i beat a region it still has broken bridges or bad roads and now you could fix all that if you wanted (i think anyways lol ) i like construction simulator snowrunner and farming simulator so i think i am the target audience with this one. i will certainly be getting it and i hope its good lol. its not for everyone nothing is but do you think you will be picking it up?
Release this game as an experiment while keeping the tried and true SR with year 5 pass will make me happy and combining the best of both worlds.
yeah and the devs have said now it will not be snowrunner 2 so it wont be the next game in the series its more of a spinoff. im happy with that as i do think this game will be fun but i wanted to see the next snowrunner 2.0 in the future which looks like thats still likely
this is THE spintires game I have always been waiting for, also I got so disappointed after someone pointed out that they could've named it roadrunner, so i think i'll just start referring to it as that

haha yeah farming still has bugs when attaching trailers season 14 seems way better with it but yeah it was poorly implemented the first time around.

@@G4mingWithJJ well I am very fond on mudrunner and snowrunner but expeditions hasn’t captivated me (yet).
So I’ll await the reviews first rather than go off on a trailer.
But other than that, I sure like what I see.

i think year 5 is the end myself. i think expeditions will be done after the 1 year of content. like dakar desert rally was. and then they will support roadcraft and snowrunner for a bit and then it will be snowrunner 2.0 or whatever you would want to call it. we still got season 14,15,16 to go and if they add another year thats 17,18,19,20 that gives them a good amount of time to polish off whatever is they are working which i do think they are working on the next hauling snowrunner type game.
Hopefully snow runner 2 would be amazing!

Reminds me much of the 'construction simulator' and the tree sawing reminds me a bit of the 'farming simulator'... just with huge maps, better physics and graphics.

Yeah for your sake I hope it can handle it too! I think it will be fun I know it won’t be for everyone some won’t like the road building parts I think it sounds fun to cut down a tree use a stump grinder on it then drop off some sand and gravel compact it and then put tar over it and build a road.

Wish I could port this game features over to snowrunner so I can build all the permanently broken roads and bridges in snowrunner that Saber made me struggle and suffer with across all seasons

Yeah I like exploring maps once so expeditions isn’t really my kind of game I’m more into cargo hauling in the off-road environment. But this is my kinda game with what it looks to be construction simulator farming simulator snowrunner combined the main games I play lol. I’ll be getting it for sure how about you?
i see what saber is doing here. Snowrunners was a hit, so they're keeping the content going alongside testing new spin off ideas that lean into different aspects of the main game. Expeditions leans into scouting and exploration. Roadcraft will lean into the infrastructure side of things. These spinoffs also innovate on the old system. Expeditions having new gadgets and module roof racks. Roadcraft will test out new dynamic road paving and terrain systems, along side a convoy system? that sounds sick.
All of this sounds like something what would be really really cool in an all in one snowrunners 2 game. But I'd say its for the better they're playing it safe, testing out new concepts in spinoff titles instead of main game releases.
Even Snowrunners VR has cool and interesting innovations. Getting out on foot to pull longer winch lines. dynamic weather and side effects of said weather. being able to use snatch blocks and pulley systems to increase winching power. etc etc etc.
yeah its probably a smart choice if thats the end goal. test a few games and then make the snowrunner 2.0 when they think they know what direction the players most liked. the only issues is if they make it to similar then players would say oh its just a 2nd roadcraft or whatever. but i think this game sounds awesome with what they have shown off and said so far.
let them cook. I think it's a good concept to see where to take the title.
I like the Yakuza : like a dragon approach.
Test the waters what works and what doesn't and eventually make SR2.
Plus these little spin offs give you extra boost to the main project They can even keep adding new tasks to the existing project to keep the cash flowing.
I hope we get to harvest vespene gas because I REALLY need to spawn more overlords!

@@G4mingWithJJ sorry, I felt like trying to fit in a reference to Starcraft for some reason (because it sounds like there's going to be resource collection in this game.) It's a game from 1998, maybe the reference is too old (like me I guess!) 😄 but yeah I'm interested in Roadcraft and/or Snowrunner 2!

As long as you keep ur expectations low and know that ur not hauling but fixing roads than u be ok 😁
funny i dont know if i mentioned it in this video. but i always say low expectations and high hopes. if you have high expectations then you can be let down even if its very good. im skeptical its early but i enjoy these kinds of games so i HOPE its good lol
The biomes look really beautiful. Will be interested to see how they improve things like how the tractor/wheel-loaders work and I hope they don't make the same mistakes they did with Expeditions.

This just reads “Snowrunner, but with added functionality”. Like, the plot of each zone, at least the older zones, are literally ‘a flood occurred’. This is sorta what I wanted from the OG game. I guess the main reason I’m disappointed is that this isn’t just a rework of Snowrunner, it’s an entirely different game

well to be fair snowrunner is the sequel to mudrunner which is the continuation of spintyers
I`m on the fence about this, I think this could be a great game. But I thought the same about Expeditions (I like scouting inSR) but really couldn't get into that game so started a new playthrough of snowrunner.
i think it is good to be skeptical. i do enjoy scouting in snowrunner exploring a region is a blast the first time you get to a new place. i just didnt think there was anything to do after that and you still had to drive all over the place in expeditions. it didnt have much replay ability for me. and got boring pretty quickly. they do have a few cool things the vehicles just driving overall feels better and being able to deflate tires is cool and let out the winch but some things i wasnt a big fan of as stuff to bring over to snowrunner one being tire pressure as the way they have it with just highway tires deflated they would be better then muds making it kinda OP. and drone dropping yourself fuel and the anchor points stuff like that felt to futuristic. i hope they do this well. but as you mention i am also skeptical i have high hopes and low expectations. although i am the perfect target audience for this game lol. the main games i play right now are snowrunner construction simulator and farming simulator. and it seems like it is a combination of those. i will be picking it up for sure. but again i am the perfect target person for it lol. do you think you will be getting it?
For me it works simple: if there won't be such stuff as for example paying for mastodon, and there will be licenced vehicles, then Im buying this game.
ahhh i see. i dont care to much for licensed or not. they cn complicate things but they are cool. i also dont like having to pay for so many things. so i hope not but with saber i would expect to have to pay for dlcs and probably alot of unlicensed vehicles. thats just my thoughts i will be getting it and following it so if you are interested in it you can check it out before buying it.
This appears to be a much better call for Spin/Mud/Snow/-Runner fans than the Expeditions !

Hi to the company. I buy xbox-s with 65'' oled tv only play snowrunner i start from Canada and buy all words and im so happy for this.
I buy mudrunner but i dont like because the handling of machines they make it difficult as the snowrunner and dont play it and grafics is bad....trash cash.I buy contraction simulator the same tragic graffics trash cash x2.....i bougt Expeditions its very hard playing game that sends you from one end of the map to the other without many instructions and when you arrive you will either run out of gas or the mission will not be able to go out.I keep this game for winter but dont like for that reason.
Better for Saber and fanatics snowrunner players to TO EVOLVE THE GAME ITSELF FROM USING PLAYERS TO BUY A GAME THAT WILL DISAPPOINT THEM.

that was a very detailed comment. im sorry you had troubles with expeditions, construction sim, snowrunner and mudrunner. im not sure if this one is something that will interest you or not. but if it is i hope its what you were looking for im glad to be able to provide you with some information. i myself like construction sim and snowrunner so i think this will be a good game for me. it certainly wont be for everyone.
Love Spintires, Mudrunner and Snowrunner. I overlooked Expeditions. Not for me. This new game looks good and could be fun. I’m really curious how the mechanics are going to work.
yeah expeditions isnt for me either. i came into the series with snowrunner but i did play some mudrunner and enjoyed that. i hope its good but want to see more i will be getting it as its a mix of a few games i really enjoy. farming simulator construction simulator and snowrunner.
Most of the community is positive about this unlike expeditions...and I am too :) the graphics and physics look promising!!
yeah i am seeing far less skeptics this time around as we can see they have trucks with beds and cargo and we will be doing a lot more hauling then expeditions that was basically only scouting.
Hope they can manage to get license for that Ford and it’d be nice to see more American pickup trucks. 🙏🏽
im not a huge fan of all the licenses i know some people its make or break. they can make things more complicated. it is cool if evertything goes well to have those in game but im not huge on it. ill be getting it i think ill enjoy it and it combines a few games i enjoy like construction simulator snowrunner and farming simulator.
I don’t care too much about the pickup being licensed but I hope if we have an American pickup we also get North American style equipment. Seems a little weird to have that Ford-ish thing next to clearly Russian trucks and equipment. Especially the wheeled dozer, I’ve never seen anything like that other than maybe snow blade attachments for front end loaders. There were some other tracked vehicles so hopefully we’ll get a tracked dozer too.

yeah they might be trying out stuff to see what the players like and then making snowrunner 2.0 around that. they certainly got feedback about expeditions. i dont think this is the next snwrunner in the series i think its another spinoff but time will tell right? will you be picking it up do you think? i know i will but i really enjoy construction sim farm sim and snowrunner so its a mix of some thing i really like already.

this with really massive maps could be great.
The maps will be the same size as the biggest maps in snowrunner which is 2 square kilometers. But they answered a few questions on discord and it will be 2 biomes which are basically snowrunner regions. Both with 4 maps each of 2 sq km so it will the same space as season 4 Amur season 8 glades and season 12 North Carolina.

yeah i think that would be awesome. i think it would be hard to do. it looks like we can add soil and move it but not sure if we can use like excavators or something to dig it out yet. there is a new gold mining game called gold mining simulator 2 coming a bit off topic but figured id let you know lol

oh no!!!!! yeah snowrunner is very long so someone just told me i spent 63 hours in yukon and i spent 100 hours in amur thats just regions 2 and 4 they have many others and more coming so i understand its a ton of stuff to complete. do you think this game is something you would play?
@@G4mingWithJJ I don't know but have spent 840 hours (my biggest playtime in any game ever) and I have finished about 19% of all my game ( I have base game, phase 4, phase 5, phase 6, and some other content I think. ).
I will enjoy this, looking forward to do dump truck work, if they put a mods option it will be great👍

Let's hope the physics will be in favor to Mudrunner. Snowrunner was a major regress in this subject. It makes me sad how people forgot MR in favor to SR, which was inferior.
some of us including myself came to the series with snowrunner. i have went back and played mudrunner a little bit but would still like to play it more. i cant really speak on that as i havent really payed much attention to it. i hope this game is good i will be getting it either way as it has lots of things i enjoy like farming simulator snowrunner and construction simulator in one game. do you think you will be getting it?
@@G4mingWithJJ yes, but I feel skepticism, because many games that are also optimised for consoles are simplified and childish. I am a sim guy. The harder and more realistic, the better. Even if developers don't want to go hardcore with realism, at least give the opportunity to mod it in a hardcore way.

They could’ve made a new Snow Runner with elements of this game and elements of Expeditions mixed with what we loved about Snow Runner and create an absolute beast of a successor but instead they take some ideas and make isolated games which seemingly fail to stand on their legs as own games. I don’t see the reasoning behind that, it’s not even making them more money.

yeah its pretty cool. the devs did now confirm this will not be snowrunner 2. so basically saying it wont be the next main game of the series. its more of a heavy machinery spinoff. so thats even more exciting if you ask me then we can play snowrunner for a while and this and then switch to snowrunner 2 when that one comes out.

yeah many people would like to be able to fix the roads and build bridges in some maps. that will probably be a thing in the next snowrunner main game in the series. they have said this is supposed to be a spin off.

Yeah the game might disappoint a big chunk of the snowrunner community but for me I enjoy the games like farming simulator and snow runner and construction simulator so I think I’ll enjoy this game. I’d like to have more hauling but as you said I’m sure I’ll be having a good time.
This is the right decision. Snowrunner desperately needs a focus of construction elements and forced addon usage. No more drive in a circle and call it farming. No more 20 times the same trip and call it crafting. Haven't bought SR seasons in 2 years.
Cranes and addon aren't for show. No more press a button and spawn a town. Built it.

I've always said we should be able to have a dozer, excavator, dump truck, and even tree harvester in snowrunner.

@@G4mingWithJJ definitely going to try it. Lately farm sim has been dominating my gaming time but I’m always down to play a snowrunner game. I played expeditions and enjoyed it but didn’t finish the campaign but I do plan on going back eventually.
I'm not sure about this Roadcraft game as i remember Expeditions was not the game i wanted.

i have not heard anything about a new kolob in snowrunner where did you see or hear that from? the devs have now said today it will not be snowrunner 2 so its a heavy machinery spinoff of snowrunner. just like a scouting spinoff. so i think thats a good thing we still have hope for a new snowrunner 2 then. i said in my video i think we will get a year 5 but what do i know lol

I’ll be totally honest if it has hauling I’ll enjoy the crap out of it. (I think) lol. If it’s just construction to a lesser extent but I enjoy construction simulator and mix that with mud physics I’m super on board so I think I’ll really like this game.

Yeah it’s annoying when you have to have a connection or something to play games. I don’t know if it will be better but it has something I think will be very cool cuz I personally like construction simulator and snowrunner and farming simulator but we’ll have to wait and see I guess.
