I could live off of this plant it's so delicious. We are from Pakistan and my mom doesn't have much access to methi here in the United states, but thanks to you I will be growing her some this season. Thank you so much I'm literally so excited!
Thanks for such a detailed and clear video. My methi plants are 35 days old, and growing. Got the idea when and how I can harvest it. All your videos are amazing.
Jag...You must have new equipment! These camera shots are amazing! I love that I can see all the details of how this plant grows. It increases my confidence in gardening. I know more clearly what to expect. If you ever develop your own seed packets for all of us to buy, one of those photos on the back of the packet would be ideal! Thank you for all your hard work!
Are you a marketing executive? Your videos are amazing: crisp, clear and entertaining. I just discovered your channel and binge watched several of them. Thanks for all the ideas for my garden!
I enjoyed watching this vid. Bought some fenugreek seeds from India and planted back home in Zambia. They are doing fine and pods are now forming except that the birds have eaten all my leaves😂😂 but the flowers are still forming(more pods I guess). I hope to get some more seeds!
Thanks sab for taking time to make these informative videos. Clear and easy to understand. I love all your videos. I grow mathi in aluminum trays inside my home. Now I'm looking at planting in a mixture of half sand and half soil.
Absolutely wonderful video- thank you! Will definitely grow it as its so easy . I can easily buy it from my local stores and actually made fenugreek and potatoes curry a few days ago, its one of the most simplest and most delicious curry - refreshes your palate like no other veg.
Kind of off topic, the water you drain off the seeds is great for hair growth. I put it in a spray bottle & use it a few days a week. Store it in the fridge.
In Palestine and the Middle East we use dried fenugreek seeds to make a hot drink like tea, or use them to flavor some baked treats. so fragrant and tasty! But how do you get seeds from these plants?
You let the flowers go to seed instead of cutting the plant at flowering time to use fresh. Wait for the plants to start to die back and the seed pods to turn brown and dry, then harvest the seeds.
Your video was very informative. I need help. The methi I grow (whether in soil or in cocopeat hydroponically) just grows upto a finger long and then falls/droops to the soil and gets dry. Me being an Indian, I expect it to grow as big as cilantro that you get in the stores but it never happens. Is it because of heat ? I live in Orlando, Florida where the heat goes to 90 F ). But the plant is outdoor and yet kept in a place where it just gets sun upto noon time, after that it is shady. Do I need to bring it indoor with under 78 F as the highest due to Ac running? Pls reply. Thank you.
Very useful video, thank you. When I tried to grow methi a few weeks ago, the seeds sprouted just fine in just a few days. But over a week, all the leaves disappeared, while the stems remained intact. My suspicion is rabbits or squirrels. Could it be aphids? Please let me know what you think happened. Thank you
I am growing methi in a pot outside and it has been growing for about 1-2 months. I've noticed the edges of many of the leaves have turned red. The red part is only about half a millimeter. Does that indicate a problem? Thank you!
In spite of taking all cares, my methi plants fall just as they are giving the first leaves. Heard it's watering issue. So I am being very careful and gentle. But it doesn't help. Please suggest me some solution.
You can add methi to almost any Indian curry and it will give it a nice, bitter flavor. It goes especially well with spinach curry. Just my humble opinion.

Hey Jag! Awesome videos 😃 can u also make video on treating fungus to plants
My methi leaves start turning yellow when they are only 1 inch or so long. How to get them to as tall as yours ?
Is the water cold that you leave the seeds in? And for how long to it in water?
Thanks .I love fenugreek in meat❤
How can I harvest fenugreek and collect seeds…does it takes long for fenugreek to produce seeds???
Nice video, now I just need to find the space!

Thank you sir for the information 🙏
I have black mustard seeds (I bought them at Indian store). Do I need to soak them just like methi seeds?
You can direct sow, soaking is better and germinates quicker.
Amazing plantation
Cool! The bed reminds me of a waffle garden! I will give this crop a try. I assume it needs warm weather.
It needs cool weather! :)
Daisy Creek Farms with Jag Singh great! I will do a little more research then! I. hope you or your wife can do a simple methi recipe on your channel!
i am in arizona 100 F will it grow?
@@nileshgupta2302 As long the weather is around 70 F, AZ in winter is perfect. Cover the plant if there is frost.
@@nileshgupta2302if you have a shaded area with indirect sunlight it will also help❤
Can't find any videos on how and when the seeds come through and how to harvest them. I will keep trying.
When do they have seeds? How do you pick them?
Does fenugreek love sunlight??

Do you ever use it as a green manure?
I tried at home and its grown up....but after grow up to 3 to 4 inch its fall down...why it so happened?? What are the causes??
After how many days big methi bhaji
Do you cook the stems or just leaves ?
Jus the leaves, you can do stems too if they are tender but they can be chewy.
It’s one of my favourite sag, I even made recipe video lol 😂
Sooo beautiful
In which weather we can grow it.
Thank you
Is it invasive?
Nice, now we need a recipe to prepare some food out of it ))
