I've always wondered why there never was an anime adaptation, because the premise and style of the games just screams "Animate me!" Especially around the time it came out there were a lot with a similar vibe around, so it would've fit right in.
@@KruelAidManArena's paltry sales on the DS are why the series is dead, TBH (well, that and Pokémon DP cannibalizing Arena's sales and Arena barely getting any advertising in the West). V2 and BR are the two best selling titles, and CR1 did decently well. The series sold poorly on portable consoles, however, so it would've done better if Arena were sold on the Wii instead of DS. I wish the games returned, however.

It’s a Nintendo published mech fighter game with only 5 installments: 2 on the n64, one on the gamecube, one on the gameboy advance, and lastly one on the Nintendo ds. It’s main mechanic is just like the name implies, you can customize your mech’s weapons. Hope this helped if you hadn’t fully found out just yet!
Had the N64 gone with CDs or the 64DD been a hit they could've included animations in the actual games. CR on N64 never pushed the system graphically right?
Most of the textures were pretty simplistic, but you do gotta remember that Noise/Marigul made the games, not Nintendo. As such, they didn't have as much experience with the hardware when compared to Nintendo's prime teams. They still did a solid job, nevertheless. But yeah, lots of elements were basic shapes with simple textures.

カスタムロボのアニメがあったなんて知らなかった…レツゴっぽい感じなのは驚きだし、声優も高山みなみさんや大谷育江さん、今は亡き郷里大輔さんに当時新人だった後藤邑子さんもいて豪華ですね。
If only there was an English sub in this, other than that this was decently well made and I appreciate the effort of this.

自分も小さい頃からゲームウォッチや
FC SFC 64 など色んなゲームしてて
カスタムロボとスマブラも一緒にやっていました！
2018年に亡くなったのでもう5年もたってますね
亡くなる数ヶ月前に一緒にカスタムロボやってお互い久々にやるのにめっちゃくちゃ強くて負けました

主人公（コウジ）はゲームだと引っ越してきてカリンとはその時に知り合ってるが、このアニメだと最初から3人で一緒に行動してる感じになってる。
ゲームがアニメ化されなかったのは残念です...
