What a rose garden you have my dear I'm a big fan of your roses. My 5 DA rose died this year plus my peace also died. I apply your method of how to fertilize and compost
I'm in Sydney so not so cold but after couple of weeks heavy rain and after rain the roses started to get powdery mildew and lots of aphids and the leaves was shining and sticky. I should have spray them but I didn't 🙃
One more request 🙈 What would you term as the pros and cons of growing roses in containers and then that of growing them in the ground too! Thank you ❤
Roses are mostly big plants, so mostly I like them in the ground. They can do very well in pots, but eventually you will need to trim the roots or the plant gets too pot bound.
Wonderful roses and some amazing flower bed and flower trellis ideas here too! Please do a video on your flower beds - wooden, concrete and what excatly the cattle mesh is for 😍 Would love to replicate in my green ❤ Thank you 🌹
Hello Neighbor! I think my roses are probably planted too close, about 3-4 ft apart and they could certainly use more. My lot is on a court so just about .3 acres, much bigger than typical for Elk Grove, I’ve got about 170 rosebushes and maybe a dozen fruit trees, and very little lawn!
Beautiful roses. Would you recommend cathedral bells rose for repeat bloomer and health? Not sure about fragrance. Thanks for sharing such beautiful healthy roses.
Yes, repeat bloom and health are good for Cathedral Bells. Fragrance for me is the best part of this rose, distinctively herbal with notes of anise and lavender. It grows very tall, so far blooms have not lasted long, those would be some concerns
Your garden has filled with spectacular roses and what a rose collection!!! I bought cathedral bell from Costco I hope it will bloom as shown in the tag!
Thanks for this new video! I’m always excited when you post something especially if you comment on its fragrance too. And i am happy to see your spotlight on the capri rose and see it’s doing well. I got one for myself after your previous review and seeing this makes me excited to get my first bloom from it. Also you really grow the best roses. Were you a professional in the horticulture industry at any point in your life?
Thanks for the kind words, my Capri is young but progressing nicely. I was once offered a horticultural job (by Tom Carruth!) but decided I should just stay a hobbyist.
I mean just a week ago I started to put 2 layer of compost and start to use liquid fertiliser again. I cannot find cedar mulch so I bought Lucerne mulch. Need to order alfalfa compost. People said Lucerne is another name for Alfalfa is that correct?
Hi I’m your new subscriber thank you for beautiful video roses garden where did you buy silver lavender roses and large than life roses can you tell me all the websites you bought your roses and thank you again 🤗🙏
Hi love your roses they looks so healthy! What’s your trick and what fertilizer/ pesticide/fungicide do you use. I’m in central Florida and fairly new here originally from Michigan. I’m still learning how to garden here it’s so different.👍😎❤️
In early spring, I will put a 2” layer of compost plus an organic fertlizer like plant-tone. In addition, alfalfa tea plus seaweed and miracle-gro. In late summer I will repeat the plant-tone. I might supple the liquid feed miracle-gro plus seaweed every month or two. When I lived in Texas, I found the combination of Propriconazole and Mancozeb effective as a fungicide.
my gosh how beautiful!
Beautiful collection of roses
Thank you so much 🙂

Wow, would you like to show us how to landscape and decorate our garden please. I always love yours.
I’m not much of a landscaper, I just squeeze plants where they will fit!
Wow! I also live in your area (ElkGrove zone 9b). How did you squeeze all these in your garden! I would love to get some tips.

Wonderful! Hope that Cathedral Bells does well for you
Which location? I want to buy some! 2:55
New Jersey
What do you fertilize with?
Compost, plant tone, seaweed, miracle-gro
How many roses do you have? And can you do a wide shot of your rose gardens. You give me hope that I can get the 150+ I ordered in my garden. 😊
150 new roses is alot at one time! I have about 180 total, hard to do a wide shot because they’re all over the place.
Camelot 4:20 is it Tantau brand ? i have climbing Camelot from Tantau-
My Camelot is an older variety bred by Swim/Weeks. I would guess your Tantau rose is shares the name just by coincidence

Yes.
I think you are off to a great start!
Thanks for the tips guys
Oooh where were you able to find Osiria? This has been on my wishlist forever but nobody carries it in North America :(
Roses Unlimited carries it! It has a reputation for being difficult, but mine has been vigorous and productive
Hi I’m your new subscriber thank you for beautiful video roses garden where did you buy silver lavender roses and large than life roses can you tell me all the websites you bought your roses and thank you again 🤗🙏
You can get many of the varieites from Regan Nursery online, but they ship in early spring
Also how do you manage pest and disease? Do you spray? If so what please?
My California garden doesn’t really need spray, but when I lived in Texas I sprayed with propriconazole and mancozeb for blackspot.
