Context refers to the background or details surrounding an event that occurs in literature. Details about the setting, a character's past, or even the time period of the story can help to set the context. Understanding the context can help a reader to better understand and interpret the events of the plot.
@@faithwithvivian amen there is a basic rule of 10 versus after and 10 versus prior the passage in question. There is also the basic who, when, where and why. And then there is a little bit more advanced contextual understanding such as descriptive or prescriptive text also literal and allegorical text. Following solid Biblical study and paying attention to context will lead to spiritual growth and understanding while following 2nd Timothy 2:15

when i was 8years old i became addicted to pornography for six years and when i was 11 years Japanese people bullied me a-lot for my name and i cry a lot many times beacuse I thought no one loved me and friends betrayed a lot and after that the pornography got worse and i was being a liar, mean, studying horoscopes, manifest, almost going to be a lesbian and doing all sins when i was 14 year old but God showed me in the dream that he said to me “i love you so much “sitting right him like a kid when i woke up i was felt light and happiness for the first time and after i give my life to Jesus when my 15 birthday. and i after Notice that God being protected when i was born loved me so long and waited for me so long i was crying a lot as i was worshiping him. as a new born Christ, even if i have spirituality warfare nightmares Paralysis dream the devil tempted me and cry many times i m grateful what God said to me in that dream and he saves me die for my sins loved me . And i finished the New Testament! I’m so happy🙏😊😊 and I am strong young woman of God ! And grateful ❤️❤️( sorry for the words i don’t know how to speak properly)

I have been saved from a toxic relationship with someone who believes in God but doesn't follow him. God made me let go of some things and someone whom I really love and treasure. And that act made me surrender my heart and life to God. 2020 is indeed a huge part of God's bigger plan.

Finally! I have seen someone else who had to do this! This is what God was trying to tell me to do for a long time. At one point, I was not praying to God about my struggles bc I knew he would speak to me like I knew he already was doing (I just refused to listen). I had to part with my boyfriend about three days ago and it’s been hard. However, I know our God will deliver us from our struggles and pain.

God delivered me from suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, ptsd, guilt from my sins, shame, among other symptoms this year. He purged so many of the sins and past hurts I thought I had “dealt” with or thought I had under control. It was painful, I felt like I was a danger to myself. In His loving way he healed me as each hurt came to the forefront of my mind. Idk how to describe it, but it was a lot. I was in emotional and physical pain-lost weight -lost hair. I felt completely broken. He has put me back together and I feel a lot more like myself. Words that Holy Spirit gently placed in my mind as this was going on were purging, sanctification, He corrects those He loves, peace be still. I learned a lot about deliverance, anointing oil, the importance of having a daily walk with God - not just a Sunday and occasional conversation but a daily relationship. I used to think I had everything under control and I was surely humbled by this experience. God bless you sister!! Thank you for being so bold as to share your testimony on such a large platform. I’m doing a read through from Genesis to Revelation I started 2 weeks ago. Tomorrow I start Leviticus. I’m also doing a group Bible study that is in book of John as well as different messages in church on Sunday. So it feels almost like I’m consuming it all at once but it’s structured for my mind and replacing TV and outside influence. Using Dwell is amazing it’s a $30 subscription for a year and it’s so worth it.
Since the pandemic started i came so close to God. I also have a very similar story like you. I was obsessed with my looks and partying and now im finally free from it . God healed my depression and even during these hard times i know i can find rest in God .All glory to God!!!! I also made a testimony video now. God bless you sister

However I want to caution you against recommending the "Passion Translation", as a credible translation of scripture to other's, because it was translated by a man named Brian Simmons, not by translation committee hebrew/Greek scholars, and the results are not supported by all manuscript support, which is what all "credible translations" are based upon! I refer you to Mike Winger's UA-cam channel, he is a very biblical pastor/teacher who has done a thorough review of the passion translation, and why it's not a credible translation of the bible, I highly recommend that you view video or ask your pastor to view it.
All the other translations you mentioned are fine.

I use the Bible app and it has tons of study plans. I’m doing the Bible in a year plan and it’s amazing so far. I’m halfway through it and I recommend everyone especially beginners to try it because unlike the Bible studies you are talking about, this is directly from the Bible so no one can put their views into it. Best thing abt it is has all the different versions of the Bible so if u can’t afford a Bible then there u go. Plus it’s free
The King James Bible is the only one without contradictions. Sam Gipp (you can find him on UA-cam) shows a lot of proof of the heresy of the new Bible versions. It’s really scary to think about all of the evil in the new Bible versions. This is why God warned us about this in Revelation 22: 18-19.

God has done so much this year in my life. He's opened up my eyes to seek Him first above all else to put him first in all that I do. My mom had covid no symptoms and Jesus healed her. Something else God has done was in October a man came to preach at my church name Bob Sorge and his testimony changed my life. I saw how this man could barely talk but he would preach the gospel to others. I myself have a good voice and I wasn't using it to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to those around me. But that day I felt it in my heart to do IGTV videos and UA-cam Christian content and telling others about Jesus. I am called to make disciples which I'm doing God is so good he is the only one I need in my life.

Christmas unfortunately had always been a stressful time of the year in my house. I understand now why all that was happening. God was missing in my life. I started listening to freedom church online. That’s how I found your videos. I would love to have a bible I can read with my daughter. I was saved 07/2020.

Oh boy I.was.11 yrs.old when I.was.saved. I'm 54 yrs old now. So it was.1977. I thought because I.went back.to.sinning and.living for myself that I lost my.salvation that's not true. God always had me even when I thought I.was lost now i know god saved me from myself. I use.to.drink any ways in my 50s.I.returned to living for god. I'm.still sinning from time to time but because of Christ I'm still saved. When I moved from Michigan to Ohio. I only had my clothes when I moved in to my apartment. Now I am so blessed. I prayed back then to.god to send me a wife. He did and that's when my.life changed drastically. Because god sent me a wife my life changed because I had nothing. Now I own a house we have a nice car 2018 Chevy Malibu I have nice things like radios. I'm a.ham radio operator. Wow when you where 11! I went far from Jesus when I was a kid, even though I would attend Church with my mother. God found me when I was 14 and I started walking with Jesus. Our English bibles are translated from the Greek and Latin, many believe that Hebrew gospels do not exist. Well, they are false. Historians have found the Hebrew gospels and truely grows our faith, getting to know our Messiah in the true Hebrew perspective. Google it out!☺️
The Bible has been translated & revised numerous times. I can't believe a God inspired the bible if He didn't even preserve it
@@ZackKcaz He did preserve it. The Bible is covered with blood, so many martyred to preserve the scriptures. No matter how many times it has been translated and revised, this has only helped to reach many more people and grow faith.

P.S.: I read the ESV, it's a word-for-word translation... very close to KJV but much easier to understand. NLT and NIV are thought-for-thought.

Audio bible!...it drills the word into your head.....when you drive...or in the shower...I always have the bible playing, even subconsciously, you will learn it pretty speedily ...KJV is the most accurate translation, I would be careful with the others...there are a lot of perversions in those. I highly recommend the Tyndale House chronological Bible in NKJV for reading through the Bible. It puts everything in order so you understand why various Prophets were calling for the destruction of Israel... because they were sacrificing their children to Baal "passing them through the fire". Really puts the Bible in context.
God healed me this year, had my fourth surgery in 5 years, and I’m doing so much better!! This past 5 years have been really a struggle. I was saved in aug of 1999.
My testimony is that God increased my love for him TREMENDOUSLY like CRAZILY. I find joy running to be in His presence and it’s not burdensome anymore to simply sit at His feet and commune with Him (not that He’s burdensome but the enemy really deceived me to think and feel that it was). He also freed me from pornography and masturbation and revealed Himself to me about how He felt towards the sin and it SHOOK ME, I’ve been walking in total freedom since that encounter. I’m so grateful to come in contact with your channel!

Actually the NKJV and KJV are different. Look for comparison. There’s a lot of difference. KJV is needed in every Christian’s study bible because the newest versions take out some important verses or they change some important words or phrases. So, if you look it up on KJV, you’ll be much more enlightened
Matthew focuses on teaching about Jesus being the King of the Jews: Matthew is a Jew, writing to the Jews about the King of the Jews. Luke focuses on Jesus Healing. Luke, himself was a servant doctor to Theophilus (Theo means lover of God). Mark focuses on Jesus as servant (Jesus did not come to be served but to serve). Mark also uses the words "and immediately" a lot in His Gospel writings. Mark likes to get to the point quickly, lol. John focuses on Jesus as the Lord God, our Salvation (Jesus' Identity). The four gospels represent the four sacrifices Jesus announced on the cross; Namely the guilt offering, the south offering, the burnt offering and the peace offering, each of the gospels deals more with one or the other.
There are consciously four gospels and no more and no less, so each one is important.
I say this because you were wondering what your favorite gospel would be;
They all contain the same message and the power of the atonement of God to man through Jesus Christ.
Each gospel focuses more on one of the four sacrifices.
It's exciting to find out which stands for which and what that means exactly.
The entrance to the tabernacle or entrance to the temple also consists of four parts.
If you like, you can delve into it more and study it, then the Sacrifice will have an even greater meaning, because Jesus Christ not only made a sacrifice, but he is the sacrificial lamb of God.

The Word of God says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Now, what is the kingdom of God? The apostle Paul tells us in Romans 14:17 that the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but "righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."
When you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and pursue the kingdom of God, which is Jesus' righteousness, His peace and His joy, God's Word promises that "all these things" will be added to you. "These things" refer to what you will eat, drink and wear. Jesus tells us that you do not have to be consumed by these concerns. If your Father feeds even the birds of the air, even though they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, how much more will He take care of you, who are of much more value to Him than the birds (Matthew 6:25-32)!
Beloved, keep your eyes on Jesus and His finished work on the cross. He will add the things that you need in this life to you and cause you to become safe for success. Now, turn with me to the Book of Jeremiah to see what the Lord says about having riches, wisdom and might.

What you said was something interesting that I also encountered...
When I decided I was going to truly live for Christ, I began to engage in reading the Bible. However as I began to read I found something very mysterious.. which was that I could not read the King James Version of the Bible. It was like as I read all the scriptures in that version were locked and that the understanding of those scriptures were behind some door with a lock on it. So I closed it and then started reading the NIV hoping it would help more. However, I STILL was having a hard time understanding, but not as before. So I would look up scriptures and read other people’s interpretations and watch videos explaining certain scriptures. I would not get some of the understanding from those places so I would stay in the Bible until I get the understanding from God. And so I was having a very hard time understanding scripture.
Now this is not just something that happens with me but with every believer. This is because in Romans 1 it explains how either we or our previous generation rebelled against God, and so our “foolish heart was darkened” (Rom 1). The Bible also says in Ephesians 17&18 “having the understanding darkened”. This is why we experience this “veil” so to speak. This veil is explained in 2 Corinthians 4:3 as it says “if our gospel be hid(or veiled;NKJV), it is hid to them which are lost”. When we were in the ways of this world, our minds were corrupted, and thus in darkness. So now what we are experiencing is coming out of a darkened understanding.
Now there’s a fix to this darkened understanding mentioned in Ephesians 1:17, which is the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. This would result in the eyes of our understanding being enlightened (Eph 1:18). So because we are in Him, we have access to this. Which means all we have to do is stay consistent with studying the Word and hungry for revelation from His Word as we shall be filled according to how hungry we are (Matthew 5:6). I hope everyone is blessed by this. May everyone reading continue to grow in the Grace and Knowledge of Jesus Christ.

I started out with ERV (easy read version on the Bible app) then I went to Barnes and nobles so overwhelmed by all the different translations and the Lord led me to a sweet pink KJV Bible that has blue highlights in all of Jesus & God the fathers promises, then I visited my childhood home and found the Bible that was given to me from confirmation and I was stuck like glue with it and I completely destroyed it within 2years from bringing it everywhere and leaving my pen in the binding lol then I bought the NLT because my husband reads that one and now I am on that and the KJV haha but I really like the KJV it just rocks. Lol

I would recommend NKJV. English is not my first language and its todays English(you can download the Bible App and read any of these versions for free and make your choice on which book version you will buy). Definitely do a research which Bible you will get as some are word for word translations and some are thought for thought translation. The save bet is nkjv. I got saved in 2011 and served God wholeheartedly but began to neglect my relationship with Christ and eventually backslid. I thank God that not for a moment did he stop tugging on my heart. This year I surrendered my life back to God 🙌🏼. It's important to be baptised in the Holy Spirit (it's when the Holy Spirit gives you the language to speak, it's not self taught language). It's mentioned many places in the bible especially the new testament

Hi Vivian Im Desiree from Philippines , I was saved last July 18,2020. During the lockdown because of the pandemic I had to do things that could help me cope up from changes made within the worlds situation and the loss of my mother. Ff. Gladly I was able to attend at my neighbor's house to have a Bible study then I got to realize how idolaters and blasphemous we were from my past religion so I took a courage because of God's grace even though now me and little brother we're the only Christians in our family I had to set my head up high to Jesus no matter what. Just like you I have a KJV bible here and I wanted to find a bible that really would help me strengthen my Faith and understand the words of God through that version , and it's hard to find that version here in our country, I hope you could choose me 💗
What God has done in my life ever since I've met him is:
He has healed me from continuous depression and living everyday with suicide thoughts that I've had since I was 13. I started desiring to drink at the age of 5 years old when I only lived with my mom and sister at my grandmother's home which I was sexually abused by my mom's uncle in my room, I lived with anxiety, discouragement, loneliness, I was heartbroken due to so many guys hurting and taking advantage of my emotions and feelings, after this I've never opened up to any man because I was scared to get hurt again and take advantage for my body and not who the way I am.
I will constantly constantly get tormented all the time especially in my room. I would hear noises, have dreams of a demon chasing me in a red tunnel, starring into witches eyes and feeling the pinching and burning that I would go through, see shadows and figures walking around my home. I was very "sensitive" to the spiritual realm.
The last time I was going to commit suicide was right before my other uncle invited me and family to a Christian church. We spent months in making excuses, not wanting to go.... Until we made the decision to go and since that day I entered the church I felt a LOVE come down on me I sat down and I started crying because I felt love and I finaly fell in love with God.
I had so many beautiful encounters, breakthroughs and so many other things but above all I received his Loveee.
I got baptized the following year on March 5th 2017 and since that day I feel so loved. I hope this touches someone❤
God has saved me from all these things and this year I am able to go deeper with him and wake up feeling protected and not condemned.

There is the reason why there are so many translations...deeper reason! Please check Bryan Denlinger channel, he has a lot videis explaining this! The Bible is not easy book, it is God's Word...i hope God will give you wisdom to learn about KJV issue and reach the truth.
My sweet sister, it's a moot punta, but the KJV is not the first English bible. The NLT is a paraphrased biblia.
So the issue with MOST other translations is they take away from the deity of Jesus. Most scholars, that I follow including my own church strongly advise keeping it between the KJV and ESV. It's a bit of controversy, in the theological world, but I would strongly agree with what you are saying. Read the other translations with the goal of reading the KJV. It's hard but there are tools out there, and I personally feel it is richer and edifying. Pro-tip, I am not here to argue. Take what I said with a grain of salt for anyone willing to fire one back at me, but if you decide to, I will listen but I won't fire back. Test it for yourself.
