A real underrated movie for sure
This movie was so good. One of the best SciFi movies in the last decade. Ya it has some clear low budget shortcomings, but it was still better than 99% of movies costing 10x as much.
It had some major plot holes and to my mind, Leigh Whannell should have spent more time crafting a coherent story, but the movie is very well made, especially considering the tiny budget. It looks great -- the camera work, editing, lighting are excellent. It sounds absolutely amazing. Directing and acting are at great -- Benedict Hardie did a hell of a job as the evil cyborg mercenary.
@@Your_President_Kanye_East I would agree with you regarding the story. It definitely felt rushed (reminds me of the movie crank).
@@AB-nv7bz It's not what I had in mind. Actually, in my opinion "Upgrade" is very well-paced. My problem with the story is that I found it quite unbelievable that STEM was able to control Eron's actions to such an extent. Oh, well, better not to think about it too hard, I guess.

@@AB-nv7bz No, but I feel that the script didn't explain well enough how STEM was able to take complete control over Eron's actions and force his creator to do his bidding. Also, the moment when Eron tries to shut STEM down remotely but then some random hacker was able to prevent that did not make much sense to me. I think that Mr. Whannell should have spent more time ironing such wrinkles out when writing the script.
I loved how they showed us his perspective of how his head is just following how his body moves.
A very underrated action movie, probably the most creative of 2018 though second in quality to Mi: Fallout.
Am i the only one who think the way "Jamie" said "We cant let them win" has to do with the Sequel or for short, cliff hanger
I don't know if it's intentional but I like to think of it as a jab at typical 'evil government' cyberpunks. Protagonists talk about 'them' regarding the government like everyone knows it because the audience knows, when in reality anyone actually in the universe they're in wouldn't know.
Love how Fisk and his henchman both turn their heads in sync @1:44 almost like tandem Terminators? Bad a55.
