Michigan football gets two top 100 commits within an hour

- July hadn't started out very well for Michigan football recruiting, with several targets leaning toward the Wolverines (Hardy Watts, Maxwell Roy, JaDon Blair, Kamar Archie, Shamari Earls) all choosing to go to other schools, including some of the rivals. But the Wolverines got a big shot in the arm on Monday with two pledges committing within an hour's time -- both elite players.
We get into four-star tight end Andrew Olesh, who picked Michigan over Penn State, Alabama, and Florida, as well as four-star safety Ivan Taylor, who flipped from Notre Dame. Both are among the nation's best, and we go through their rankings as well as where Michigan stands now. Also where Michigan and the 2025 class goes from here.

Its crazy watching the recruiting ranking services consistently move players down their rankings when they start trending towards or commit to Michigan
The most notorious is Rivals. Mike Farrell is a CLOWN

They actually had a few players jump up after committing to Michigan this cycle. It was a nice change to see lol
If you had a college football intellect you would know ranking services update their rankings after the summer camps when they see the players again. Some have not improved from the last ranking and others have. Some have gotten fat and others and faster and quicker

It’s crazy that Gach drops from a 4 star to 3 star by On3 after he was named MVP at a 5-star camp a few weeks ago. This and Rivals not even having Olesh ranked is why I trust the coaches way more than the recruiting services.

I don’t think it’s NIL really. Recently the NCAA has allowed schools to directly pay players outside of NIL, I believe each school can spend up to $20 million on players now.

What do these ratings even mean? I don't think Michigan has been any higher than 10 or11 for awhile, and yet they've finished 42-3 in the last three years.

Love that you ripped ND fans! They do get good recruits, but never do s with them. Hardly any player development so why the hell would a good HS football player want to go there? I understand the history, touchdown Jesus, the famous diagonal lines in the end zones, but outside of those "attractions" ND hasn't done s for a long time

So funny to see michigan fans obsessed with stars and rankings this year. All i have heard for the last few years is, we dont need players with stars, we develop our talent. No offense, great pick-ups today, its just funny.

It’s the fact we get the job done with “lesser talent“ that’s what we mean when we say we don’t need 5 stars doesn’t mean we don’t want em it’s bc we can develop but imagine what they can do with guys that are ahead of the curve from the get players that are ready to play first or second year is huge
