  • Sailing around the Isle of Skye, west coast of Scotland, visiting Plockton, Tianavaig Bay, Portree, Loch Dunvegan, and Gesto Bay, as well as the Isles of Rona, Rum and Muck. Our plan was to sail to North and South Uist, but the Scottish weather had other ideas!

Really great editing!! What a capture with those eagle photos. The anchorage at the very end is absolutely stunning.

Thank you, very kind. We were very lucky with the white tailed eagles, although have seen a few more since. They are huge! Yes, Muck is great and well worth a visit.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. You have loads of time to plan your trip for 2025 then. Make sure to get the Clyde Cruising Club sailing directions and the Antares charts as well, to help your planning.

Thanks for the info. I am familiar with the CCC books and will continue to buy the books.
Are the Antares charts suitable for OpenCPN?

Yes - the Antares charts work very well with OpenCPN. Its what I use on my laptop and phone.

Just came across your channel 😊. Is your boat a Nic 35?

@tarbertsailing we love the Nicholson's lines. And hope our next boat will be a Nic. How do you find her in heavy weather?

She is a great sea boat. Very heavy (around 10 tons) for her size and is happy to keep going in the rough stuff without any banging and crashing.
