At last this lost classic has been posted. The one that got away and should have been a mega hit for The Bluebells. It has got everything- great melody, vocals, guitar and heartfelt delivery. Listen once and you will want to again several times over. I will never understand why this was not a hit for them. Thanks for posting it.
I still listen to this all the time!! I don't know why it didn't chart higher..Should have been a massive hit for them, even here in the US at the time. Aztec Camera has nothing on these guys...
watching this now it's astounding how this bunch of "kids" (I'm 54 with a son about their age now) creates such amazing music! What talent these guys had! Bobby was a great songwriter and the rest of the band were all great at their respective spots. The first time I heard of Bluebells was THIS song in 1985 on an imported UK radio program. I happened to have my cassette tape player at the ready and set to "record" and caught this song and that was all I knew about them until the advent of the interwebz when I started hearing other songs by them. Such a unique sound from Glasgow..love it..Bluebells were the best from that area but never broke big in the US who were being saturated with Smiths, etc..too bad...wish the lads all the best!
when you watch this now, it's a bunch of kids playing this incredibly powerful song....I have never tired of it and agree that it is a unsung classic of the time that still holds up. Nothing about this song makes it dated other than the fact it was crafted well with real instruments...lol...nothing like how music is produced today for the most part...
What a great song! It made me happy then and still does today
This should have been an international smash hit, what a song 👌👌👌👌👌
This song goes straight into my playlist. ANother forgotten song of the 80s.
What really sucks is on Spotify, every single Bluebells song is on there except this one!! And it's my favorite!

Love this Band and all their songs. Met a few of them a few years back and they are the nicest guys ever. x

Thank you for posting. I've been looking for this video a long time!
'You don't love me anymore' - one of the most poignant and heartrending lines in all eighties pop. I wonder if they know how powerful this song is!

A bunch us from LA were studying in Florence Italy and this was a "disco one" on Radio One. So many great memories!
Gave this single to Jo Russell and she still dumped me in 1985😂😂
❤🎶
The crowd are not really fans, they were told to muster around and make the band feel big and important.
How do YOU know, little man ?😉
