Grey Daze Scott Crowley Sessions '94 JJSmix

I do not own any of the songs in this video, all credits to Grey Daze. Also, the version of the demo that I am mixing was originally uploaded to youtube by Linkin Park Live Archive.
I just really like the music and thought it was a shame that the only version of this demo I found online has a loud high pitch noise all the way through and was super quiet. I basically just boosted the gain a lot, EQed the demo to remove the noise and compressed the demo quite a bit with a lot of gain makeup (the demo is very dynamic), setting the attack to 40 and the decay to 110. I then just put a multicompressor with a rock preset and used a limiter.
The volume and dynamics should now be a bit better for listening to on public transport like a noisy bus for example, and that horrible interference sound is pretty much gone. With the EQ, it was hard to strike a balance between completely destroying the high end and removing the worst of the frequencies. I didn't want the mix to sound super dull and dark, so you can still hear the noise just slightly, though it's much less intrusive now.
