This is honestly a good song, ESPECIALLY with the fact Chester wrote the lyrics when he was 12 years old. That just goes to show how truly talented he was. We miss you, Chester.
He probably overthought many things.. just too much thinking.. I did saw one video where he said his head was not a good place so yeah i don't know.. He is probably another life-form right now i believe i reincarnation. ;) I mean i had a friend who killed himself, it affects people deeply.. so yeah, his friend in sound-garden probably made him grieve too deeply.. i did not know the singer and never saw them live but like their music.. but yeah, of-course stuff like that affects others. We are all one in some wierd way.. interconnected somehow. Also, some intelligent people are probably too intelligent, but might just gotten the wrong focus somehow.. the universe is very random... i dont have the answers. but yeah i believe in reincarnation.

He's always resonating trough me every day . every day listen to his music when i was a kid in school I will come home everyday and listen and watch the live concert when they were in Texas everyday I did that for a long time and even now and listen to his music and still to this day is as powerful is it always was

I was deep into my depression of the day because my marriage is failing after 2 decades,when this song came on in my headphones i nearly jumped out of my chair screaming the lyrics and I knew it was over and it was going to be a good day, i would be ok. i cant thank grey daze enough......tears down the face.
Music unites everyone no matter what race, gender, culture, religion even tragedy. I’m sorry about the marriage brother, I’m still depressed at my parents separation and this song came on the same way it did for you, and I teared up more and started screaming the lyrics at the top of my lungs. Don’t bring yourself down, some times letting go brings less pain than holding on

Late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington’s ex-wife Samantha has written the following on Facebook. Keep in mind these are all claims made by Samantha Bennington,
Chester left Grey Daze because Sean was so afraid of involving him on the business side of the band, I know you were scared that he was going to leave you, he would’ve never left you if you would’ve included him, that’s the one part you didn’t hear him say behind our bedroom doors. Sean you kept Chester from all business matters the only one that didn’t agree with keeping him out of biz was mace, The way I saw things, Mace had his back.
I came home from work and Chester and Pops (his father) we’re off to Sean’s house to get all his equipment and quit the band. I was shocked! I was the last one to know he was leaving Grey Daze! Shortly after Chester quit GD The band got a new female vocalist then they went on the radio with Greg Paul I think that’s his name it’s been so long since I’ve even thought of this person‘s name but he was like the Stryker of Local radio station in Phoenix Arizona.
The band did an interview, and Sean went on saying on LIVE radio when he was asked by Greg “so what is it feel like to have a female vocalist?”Sean, proceeded to say” it feels no different we’ve always had a girl singing for us.”. Let me tell you something Sean, Chester and I were in a car driving home from work and he pulled over and we listened to your interview it was very hurtful to him that’s why you weren’t friends with him for years. That’s why you weren’t in our lives or in our marriage for 6 to 7 years.

I guess that's why (all of us became hardcore fans of LP, cause every song was so relatable and Chester's & Mike's voice were and always will be that escape from reality were you can feel save and slowly let go of the pain knowing you're not alone (that there's hope in life, for people like us, like Chester, who are going through similar feelings & emotions.

It was an awesome concert. I never witnessed a rock star who was so caring of his fans and audience...
3 weeks later came the news that he tragically passed away.
I could not believe it, it took me hours to let it sink in…

My heart when I found out at 2:05 that 2 of the greatest guitarists and an ultimate "tag team" from my favorite band of all time had come on board to help preserve the voice and memory of the lead singer of my other favorite band of all time... Somebody musta cut a LOT of onions these past few minutes.... God please bless Chris, Chester, and all of Grey Daze, Linkin Park, and Korn, as well as everyone in the Rock and music community in general who really know how awesome this is!!.

It's not that impressive. It is in part a remix album. All they did was take all the songs they already did with him, keep the vocals the same and add new instrumentation. This is not new material from Chester himself. Some songs are now on their third official release. Which makes the whole album even more bland to me. So in a way it's also a compilation of their only two releases. Plus, the original of this song sounds way better anyway.

Dear Chester, I know we never met but I always admired your. You were someone I always looked up to, you were someone I always wanted to meet, someone that I could be proud of. I'm just a guy that did bad things in the past and your music literally opened up a new world for me, thanks to you I found some sort of peace of mind. Chester, hope where ever you are yoy have found the peace you deserve, I will always remember you as the person I admire and the person so save me from making a bad choice in my life. For those who didn’t completely understand why they didn’t hear much about this, this is their biggest hit but didn’t last too long, and a coincidence of why this was Chester’s first band, he was born in Arizona like the band was created there. Actually, Chester was just older than 20 if I remember correctly, when the band broke up which was a year before he joined Linkin Park. Now you know a few more points about Chester, and we all shall miss him for perhaps EVER.
Actually he joined Hybrid Theory aka Xero who later turned their name to Linkin Park after the Lincoln Park in Santa Monica, CA. They changed the spelling to capture the domain name.
IMHO If Grey Daze had the the producing power of Shinoda they could have ran with it from the beginning.

I always loved Linkin Park, but you can tell that they are heavenly driven by Mike Shinoda. Grey Daze and Dead By Sunrise really show Chester’s vocal ability and the music that he truly loved. He was a phenomenal singer.

I've been off my meds for a couple weeks and I have just been going through ups and downs and i heard chesters vocals and he's been carrying me through all night. I love this man so much it hurts me that he's gone. His voice still is here though.
I remember back when metora came out. I started researching who and where the band members of linkin park came from and what their history of music was like. As soon as I heard chesters voice with his 1st band, grey daze. I was blown away and that 1st song I heard was B12. I loved the original version. This one gave me chills. Chester gave me hope as I got older. I miss him whenever I hear music from linkin park, dead by sunrise and even grey daze. Chester was amazing and depression sucks. We all go through depression and we must be better to each other. Thank you Grey Daze for finishing this album. Keep up the great work and keep chesters memory alive.
