Had the same baler and rake. Our tractor was a 1650. Brings back bad memories, i.e., picking up all those squares.

1650 was a great tractor too! We have had a few of those over the years as well. All this equipment we are using is the best for the job in our minds, I’m sure it worked great for you as well. I hope you had some good memories as well. Thanks for the comment.

The ole gal done a pretty good job, it’s always nice to see the old iron still out there doing it’s job. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a Merry Christmas.

Yes these Oliver’s sure are good pieces of equipment. Oliver is definitely the leader when it comes to a square baler. We love keeping this old equipment in the field and being able to share that with all of you. Thanks for watching!

    Wire tie?

No our baler is actually twine tie. Oliver balers are wire tie often but we happen to have found 2 of these 520 twine balers. I would much rather keep my twine, I’ve never done wire but it doesn’t look fun to me.

Who is the poor slug who has to pick them up off the ground one bale at a time. It''l take him a week to cover that entire field.

We only baled a little over 100 bales this year since we still had quite a few left from last year. We baled most of the fall hay in round bales but due to me being at school I didn’t get much footage. The pickup crew consisted of Ollie and Sam picking them up, me who always has to stack since I’m the best at it, and my grandpa who was driving the pickup. It wasn’t too bad picking them up, video makes it look worse than it really is.
