Trials are challenges given to players in order to improve their understanding of a character's capabilities. A trial mode is available in the Street Fighter EX series (where it is called Expert Mode), the Street Fighter IV series, Street Fighter X Tekken, Street Fighter V, and Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition.

Esam is the only one who actually did the last trial correctly. Focus cancel does indeed mean doing the cancel and then dashing, as opposed to when it says "EX focus attack". Functionally there's not much difference but doing the FADC has less scaling and is actually more optimal damage.

Pretty sure going for the hit is only capable in the corner. So it's supposed to be mid-screen possible normally.

I remember jumping back into SF4 for Juri then noped out after trying her and having to deal with holding a fireball lol

I know negative edge exists (we have it in smash too...unfortunately) but i just didn't know that's how Juri worked LMAO

I would love to see this the other way around in smash. Since smash doesnt have in-game trials,you could use the bread and butter combos from Frenzy Light or Esam can prepare some trials for you guys.
That's honestly so funny that Jiyuna suggest that she's easier on pad. Because Juri actually the character that made me decide to switch to arcade stick. Also negative edge Juri is best Juri.

I'm kinda sad sf4 fuhajin stores are gone. Felt unique to control her. But I can see how hard it would be to store in sf6 with potentially no grab/parry and DI at times. Could really mess people up ^^

Yo it's my girl, been hoping you guys would do this one. As a scrub this was the only character I could stick with enough to do each trial.
Love everything that went into her character. Her H punches are kicks, her super is so cruel and characterful. She is such a sadist she literally makes you (negative) edge to play her.

All the trials that use feng shui have feng shui engine as the selected Ultra, every other one uses Ultra II

I know they're really playing up Juri's feet in SF6, but why was she chosen as "The Feet Girl?" After all, she's not the only female character to have her feet out. Ibuki has the same style footwear, and then you've got Makoto and Elena who are completely barefoot. How do things like that happen?
Probably because she grabs with her feet and is more centered around kicks and taekwondo. That’s my guess anyhow

She reps Taekwondo, which is almost all about feet. They also just decided to go hard in on the fetish bait because it's 2022 and you can't hit a fighting game without having some level of insane representation these days.
I guess I can see where you guys are coming from with the TKD aspect, but Elena practices Capoeira which is also entirely kicking.

Ultras are like a super compared to vtrigger which is a comeback mechanic with crazy dmg set play/ mix that another character can utilize. So in a sense people hated vtrigger more than ultras because most ultras felt like a one time maybe twice super compared to what I mentioned also with the ability to pop twice some 3 times

Yeah juri has spacing that you just have to figure out and the rare hold button for combo situation which sf4 didn't have much besides cody's bingo for fadc.

tfw I can't beat the Ryu trials but I beat the Juri and Akuma trials
i prefer the v system since it was twinked out and refined with time now every character can be deadly , as for the ultra system in usf4 i find it good, but lack luster in terms of options
Each Feng Shui trial changes the ultra. They give you Ultra 2 on most of the trials to PREVENT you from cheesing them.
Also WOW the game is bad at explaining to the player how they do these.
Yea there’s tons of instances in the trials where there’s something extra you have to do to make it work and it doesn’t tell you. It doesn’t even start you in the corner for corner only combos, it just starts you mid screen and expects you to figure it out yourself lol. Idk why they did it that way if your a new player trying to do these there’s so many you’d never get through unless you looked it up

I have done Juri’s trials before you guys, but I am unable to do trial 24.
Also for a couple of them, it doesn’t even tell you that you have to use Feng Shui Engine.
Esam did quite well at these challenges, hanging with pros at least, for someone who doesn’t traditionally use these types of inputs; (I know Smash is demanding in its own way, js it’s different mechanics.) Juri was no joke to play and master back in SF4, either. Let’s see a casual do that in 58 minutes. No freakin way.
Bought the game and did the juri combo trials and was struggling hard. Always thought it was just street fighters rythim in general. GG Xrd is easier for me for some reason. Glad the pros struggle too

Level 15 - store fireball then MP release into literally whatever you want in the corner. No need to super cancel. Just saying.
Cancelling into release L fireball is a very important damage extender and mix-up tool for her in this game along with expected zoning benefits.
And no we don't hold all the buttons 😂
99% of the time you only need 1 fireball stored, especially for massive damage.

I dont like Ultras or V trigger the reason is because i dont believe in building meter for getting your azz beat. These type of mechanics are usually made to help ppl who suck have a chance against guys who dont suck. Ultimately theyre bailout mechanics.
We’re you able to set the instructions to the actual inputs rather than the move names in this? It seems really unintuitive to not have it like that

Ultra’s are more fair than V-Trigger. They do not sway the momentum like many VT’s do.
