- Hello! In this video, we take you on a Breakfast and Dinner Buffet tour at the Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda! You're definitely going to see some more unique offerings being that this is a "luxury" resort, so if you're a bit of a foodie, this is the place for you!
Note: the dinner buffet theme was Spain, so you'll see some dishes that represent Spanish culture.
The chefs will do their best to cater to different dietary requirements. Just ask one of the chefs if you have any preferences or requirements. We did notice a few gluten free and dairy-free alternatives in the buffet.

Thanks so much for posting this! Your videos are so helpful and informative! We’ll be travelling with 2 boys (ages 8 & 2) and we’re stuck between Esmeralda and Fantasia. What would you recommend?
Definitely Fantasia! They have an amazing splash pad 👍🏻

Thanks for the videos, well done. Regarding the ala carte restaurants, have you observed what the dress code is? It says formal (long pants for men) but wondered if that's really the case? We're going there in january, thanks.
No, my husband wore dressier shorts, a tshirt and running shoes to the ala cartes and was fine. I think they just don’t want you to show up in a tank top or swim wear.
Which of all the hotels would you say is best out them all? Hopefully going in July with two adults and two children but finding it hard to choose where to stay! The Esmeralda has stood out from the rest for me personally
I would say Ambar is the best on property, but since you’re travelling with children I agree - Esmeralda is great! 👍🏻
@@WherewegoingNext What about just the buffets, is Esmeralda much better than say Grand Bavaro or Punta Cana? They all look fantastic. Your videos are just what we were looking for, thanks for posting!
Yes, I would say the Esmeralda buffet has better options - and even though the Punta Cana and Bavaro buffets are bigger, there are more guests so it gets picked over faster.
@@WherewegoingNext Thanks! I really hate making these decisions, too many choices! Sorry for the questions, but I really love the advice of someone who's actually experienced all the resorts and not just one. If I decide to switch to Esmerelda would you recommend doing it now, or just requesting the move once we arrive it possible?

How is the a/c at the buffet? Been to other bahia principe resorts and the buffet were extremely humid and uncomfortable.
It was working well when we were there 👍🏻
Hey, great videos! have been 6 times to the bahia in Mexico and back in 99 to the the one in Rio San Juan in the DR, but i think they sold that one years ago.
Now looking for maybe the DR again, looking at esmeralda.. is it the same like in Mexico? Can the luxery use all the buffets? Pools? Can we use amber? We like to Explore.

Yes, you can use the facilities and restaurants of all the luxury and grand resorts on property - except their buffets. You can see the full list of inclusions of the all-inclusive on the Esmeralda website 👌🏻You’re welcome!👍🏻

HI and thanks a lot for that video. These videos help so much. One question. I am vegetarian and didn't notice much of vegetarian choices. Do you remember that there are separate vegetable dishes (without bacon bits and besides the salads) or will I be starving once there? I also didn't see any beans or peas in the salad bar.
Yes, they usually have stir fried veggies at the buffet. You can also talk to you server to let the chef know you are vegetarian and they will likely be able to make you a vegetarian meal, or point you to the vegetarian options 👍🏻

We had good luck with our servers - they were easy to communicate with. Hopefully you will have the same experience!
In your opinion, which resorts you have been in Punta Cana that has the best seafood buffet (If you can list them).
Either of the Luxury Bahia Principe hotels - Luxury Ambar & Esmeralda - have the best quality and selection of food 👍🏻

Yes, the Ambar buffet is very similar to the Esmeralda buffet 👍🏻 they’re both great!
Hi, I just booked the Fantasia, but would you say the Esmeralda is better? And why?
If I change the reservation to Esmeralda would I have access to the Fantasia castle and pools?

Only Fantasia guests are allowed on Fantasia property. If you are going with children, then Fantasia is definitely the better choice. The splash pad is great for kids and they have a cute projection show on the castle at night. The food and rooms are going to be pretty close to the same at both resorts.

Would you recommend the Aquamarine or Esmeralda? Unfortunately Amber is fully booked
It depends who you are travelling with and what you like. Grand Aquamarine is adults only, but only has access to the other “Grand” Bahias on property. Luxury Esmeralda is not adults only but has access to the other “luxury” and “grand” hotels on property. The rooms and buffets are pretty similar at both 👍🏻
Thank you. Traveling without kids but want also access to the Amber. So Esmeralda would be the better option.
