In my opinion, we got introduced to Ace too early. Ace would have been way more powerful if he’d have been introduced in Post Timeskip due to haki being a more developed power system.
Yeah Oda said this about crocodile and the 2 were both introduced fairly closely together so I assume we could say these together.
The live action has an opportunity to showcase more of him and his abilities by giving him a larger role across a season. Similar to what they did with Garp. Hope they do!

Katakuri is out of Ace's league. The strongest people Ace could beat is probably the weaker Yonko Commanders. Queen and 9 of the 10 Titanic Captains. I'm excluding Kuzan. Also, probably Magellan, since he is equal to Shiryu.

Katakuri can easily control everything around him with his awakening, so yeah he's tanking any fire attack thrown at him like he easily blocked Luffy's red hawk that melted Perospero's candy, mochi mochi fruit weakness was stated to be water not fire otherwise his mochi would've melted like the candy, he also has an attack that uses fire to make his attack stronger. Ace doesn't have future sight it was never stated, what he did is like what happened with Luffy vs Mihawk. The only one is sick here is you with this nonsense agenda you got against Katakuri. Ace was probably YC1 tier before his death. With the ace novel and supplemental stuff, I don't think anyone could argue it.
You are lining things up a bit to easily to give him everything, but I think a more interesting take would be having Ace survive the Summit War.
While luffy was training Ace would have been made the new captain and probably lead the Whitebeard pirates in a more protracted Payback War, experiencing haki bloom after haki bloom. He would ultimately lose a lot of whitebeard territory but the loss of someone important like Jozu or Vista would make him give up the war. He wouldn't be a yonkou but probably sit around admiral level and his ultimate goal would be getting to the OnePiece before Teach and getting his revenge. Maybe revealing a logia awakening in his final battle.
With Rogers blood in his veins, Ace could’ve been one of the Emperors Luffy had to face if he hadn’t crippled his growth by becoming a Yonko captain.

I guess it's not surprising because even in his early days before becoming a WBC he beaten a vice admiral and stalemates a stronger warlord than the two Luffy fought that he needed seriously help with, crocodile had him dead to rights twice and moria got jumped by Luffy's whole crew.
Ace also fought Yamato even though she's in base and cuffed still has far better feats than majority of Luffy's opps pre timeskip, this was also again before he joined WB.
Ace was also offered the position of warlord, he was a super rookie and has potential rivaling Luffy's own potential who is the one to succeed Joyboy.

Ace had massive potential but due to plot and the mc being joyboy, it would never work out. Oda did a very good job of giving every characters there flaws. And Ace was he wanted to bigger roger he had that an ambition/haki but it died and that’s what’s ultimately limited his potential and led to his death.

It’s easy to say he would have been on his level after at least getting his halo expanded upon. He already had conqueres haki so there’s room.

If you really take time and see how Oda writes his characters. you’ll realize the parallels between generations and while yes there are panel for panel examples between luffy & roger, let’s not forgot Oda said if he ever finished one piece and had the time for a spin off. he’d make a prequel about garp and luffy at 60 looks like garp!!
Another strong and very basic point is that Oda Is Japanese and believes heavily in the family dynamic. Ace is Literally rogers son, he alone will be his only parallel in the next generation.
It’s sad ace had to be the sacrifice for luffy’s dream, but this vid (great btw!) can only ever scratch the potential of his character.
To put it in better terms, ace was a young star next to a large black void… or should I say hole….and was doomed to be sucked into it.

Honestly I think you could’ve gone way further with some of your points.
Logia awakening: we don’t have concrete evident but I’m of the camp that logia awakening embues will into elements (creating autonomous creatures). Ace had his own variant in Onibi(demon fire) but could only use it as a final attack. More experience could led to better control and constructs like Enel.
Weapon: I could see Ace picking up a naginata, (stick his dagger on a pipe and boom😂), if live long enough to learn more about Roger and accept him, I could see him picking up a sword🤷🏾♂️.
Martial arts: maybe he could’ve picked up some martial arts through his travels like rokushiki or haoshoken

Kats whole fighting style revolves around his speed and moulding himself around attacks. Even if you want to say kat has the edge in overall power level(which I do) the matchup of fire vs mochi and the fact kat won’t be able to just mould around a huge wall of flame or an island sized sun puts this 1v1 in aces favour
@@10ply44 But we have seen that Ace relies too much on his logia invulnerability. That was what doomed him against BB. If Katakuri does the Mogura attack he did vs Luffy to Ace, he is done for. Also Ace having fs is 100% headcanon, the mf is to hot headed to even make use of it.
