The fact that she's learning English for taking the band further to reach International audiences. Really show how hardworking and responsible she's about the band.
I love this. It's kind of like when Jethro Tull came on the rock scene in the late 1960's. They were an amalgamation of medieval and classical music with rock. They even did a version of Bouree. They also had a flute player. Traditional Japanese music and rock are an amazing mix by these very talented artists.
love you sis, yuko suzuhana your voice is beautiful your band really fantastic all your band protect the japan culture and twiceted with western musical instrument sorry l only know japanese language only slighty l am your fans sis yuko suzuhana soryy can come to your concert
As an American musician, I often lament the fact that popular western music has had such an influence in the world, and it always makes me happy to see young artists holding on to their own unique cultural identities. I mean, yeah, they're still basically a rock band at the end of the day, but the way they weave their nation's musical heritage into every composition is inspiring. In many ways, rock is the perfect platform to showcase their unique instruments and abilities, because it's allowed them to translate an ancient musical art into a language the entire world can understand. Japan's traditional music is as powerful and emotional as any modern rock music, and the way they've integrated one with the other is nothing short of brilliant. It's like the first time I heard Rammstein and thought to myself, "Wow, the German language really does lend itself well to industrial metal." It just works, and it works really, really well! Not sure why Yuko seems so surprised that they are admired around the world. They'll never reach the insane levels of commercial popularity as the manufactured cookie-cutter idol groups, but they'll always receive a thousand times the love from people who make music and people who love music. And we're the only ones who really matter anyway, ya know?
I found wagakki band last year when i was searching for traditional and rock fusion and i wad so glad when i found this. I love the rock music with traditional influences. After listening to one song, i couldnt just stop there so i ended up listening to most of what they have and am searching for ones i hadnt heard yet. As a side question, would they be considered visual kei?
I accidentally found this band while looking Mai Kuraki songs. Yuko Suzuhana has resemblance with Mai Kuraki and I thought she is the one who sings the Senbonsakura. they're really good

Im from bali indonesia.. so glad become the wagakki fans ❤
The big boss Yuko watched every of her members speaking with proud. That was how a true group leader should be!

Can anyone identify the guitars that Machiya is playing? It seems like the neck abnormally long and it always has a capo
It's a custom guitar, lots of Japanese guitarist always use a custom ordered guitars to suit the way their playing style.
