The BMW probably has a DIN connector on the right glove box. This is in/out so you can use a battery charger, plug it in there, and condition the battery without the need to remove it. They did that for me at the BMW dealership in London when I bought it (found it plugged in actually, and asked). Needs a DIN connector for the battery conditioner though. They used the OptiMate 4

Sorry to hear this id get the trusty old burgman on the road old school least its easier battery access. Don't know why manufacturers think there clever when they design these . Do I hear a new scooter might be on the way ?
First thanks for the video I am about to do the same job… Questions: optimizer = battery tender? And what kind of engine/roll bars is your scooter sporting ? Thanks
When you get a optimiser connected will be fine.my alarm is powered by its own battery. As it only has electric start. As for removing the battery why not wrap a thin strap under the battery and use that to pull it out?
@@birchwoodbiker thanks for the reply.i always carry a portable battery booster for my vespa gt 200 as it's automatic and only electric start so if the battery's flat I am stuffed
