    I can relate to this guy. I normally bring gloves with me but just end up doing it raw because it feels so much better.

      Gotta be careful going in raw, you could catch all sorts of things.

    Awesome instructional video sir!!!! I appreciate how detailed you were - explaining the proper gear Oil for both the diff and trans, torque specs, and how you even showed the proper front lift point for the car! Im getting ready to swap in Motul myself!!! It's been a good month since you did the swap, how does it feel?
    Also, I'm curious to know what motor oil you're using? Motul ectolite 8100, AMSoil signature, etc?

      Hello Harrison,
      Thank you very much! The oil for first 1,000 miles was more than awesome. Some weird things I noticed, like my car mileage, said I was getting like 40mpg+ for first 200 miles and was butter smooth. It seemed to go back to the normal 26 mpg and got a little of the notchiness back, but still better than stock.
      You won't be disappointed I'm sure! Just last tip is to make sure there is enough oil in transmission cause it has no dip stick to double check the level.

      Also, any recommendations on engine oil? Do you stick with motul, or any other preference?

    I just changed my transmission fluid and found out it took more than the stated 2.2L (about 2.4L) to fill until it started to drip back out. Did anyone else experience filling more than the stated 2.2L?

    Is the only reason you mixed in some non-LS gear 300 in the rear diff so you didn't have to buy a whole additional quart for the extra .2qt it needed?

  • @orlandodiaz-frias2936
    @orlandodiaz-frias2936 7 років тому +1

    Do you need to us the LS for the differential or can i use the regular 300?

    • @matthewwyers4342
      @matthewwyers4342 7 років тому +1

      Orlando Diaz-Frias I have seen many more people online and in forums say 300 is perfectly fine for the brz and frs. The LS isn't needed for varying reasons for our type of vehicle. As something to do with ours not needing the extra compounds in the LS oil

      Hi Orlando,
      I would recommend if you have the LS diff. Get one liter of the 300LS and top off with regular, It's only a few extra bucks.
      Good Luck.

    • @jasonsuyu9693

    do you track your brz? wondering if the fluid works for the track day frs/brz/86

    • @MrCodyBlair
      @MrCodyBlair  4 роки тому

      YUAN ZHANG it’s formulated for the track. It’s exclusively used by some shops as the only gear oil they use. Unfortunately my BRZ was rear ended by big lifted truck. R.I.Pieces. BRZ.
