Faker is the dude who won world 4 times, lose 5 finals in a row, Ended a competitive game in 16:47 minutes, as well as losing a game in 15:57 minutes. Also played a game for 94:38 minutes. Never once has he made any excuses for losing in 11 years of his career. And this is not one either. this is a problem Riot need to find a way to fix asap.

Along with new patch, new picks gets discovered and pros have to play against/with them to get the feel of how things might go. If you cant practice then you are going blind into it. No watching video doesnt help as player has to experience it first hand to get accurate judgement.

I just want to see fair competition between every team, having a team unable to practice and scrim for 2 weeks is just outright unfair at the top level.

Hle played amazingly today, and im not trying to take anything away from them, but this situation is bery clearly not fair. One of the best teams in the world is being targeted and cant play the game. While geng dk and hle probably lying scrim the entire day, t1 hasnt had actual practice in over 2 weeks. The issue really needs to be dissolved as fast as possible
Well any top 4 Team would be able to play amazingly against a team that hasn't been able to practice for 3 weeks bro tf. Look at gen g vs dk. If gen g was able to practice then the series would've been way less close. The teams just cannot practice against top opponents so their performance is just naturally worse when competing at that level.
Ofc HLE won fair and square and out performed T1 this series they also out drafted for the first 2 games. But you can clearly see performance dips from t1 for the last 2 weeks. Not being able to play and practice apart from when your on stage is tough.
And since its T1 people are gonna jump on to hate and thrash them.

@@hyui5096 i tried some stuff out, and reading an ip through client and doing sabotage is not as difficult as i thought (not exactly test but more we looked at the inner workings as much as legally possible). I won't share the methods since that's propagation of bad stuff.

I don't think it has much to do with Riot's security features lol. Not a whole lot they can do about DDOSing, presumably only stop the attackers obtaining their IP from their own game servers but again, basically impossible to stop that

They designate a practice roster and play against them, why can't they just do that in esports too? Bruh, even Peanut said he was surprised when they 3 - 0 them. People really underestimate the value of scrims and practice. Meta is really important for games like league when theres a new patch every 2 weeks and even mid patch changes.
Actually T1 probably lost more than 2 weeks of practice because their last competitive game before today was on patch 14.4.
Nothing happened in patch 14.5 for competitive and they're on patch 14.6 for playoffs

T1 lost games where they were ahead atleast 2 out of 3 and HLE didnt even had to fight for it. Clearly something was turbo off with T1.

Historically, T1's been 3-0'ed only a handful of times, and if my memory is correct, it's only been done by GenG. In 2020 and 2021, they got 3-0'ed in World Qualifiers and Playoffs when Bdd was smurfing on them. The other times, I believe it was two Grand Finals, 2022 Summer and 2023 Summer. T1 losing 3-0 will come as a surprise to anybody.
Like you said, meta is very important, but the LCK never plays on current patches. Also, T1 got attacked during scrims as well, but that has been LONG FIXED since they received super accounts from Riot just for the purpose of scrims, therefore they can't be tracked.
For many years, players like Faker and Chovy's been complaining that SoloQ quality has dropped significantly, that it's not even a practice anymore.
I'm not gonna act like not being able to play SoloQ wasn't a factor in the slightest. But it is also disingenuous to say that it's the reason why T1 lost yesterday. Even CloudTemplar, who is usually VERY careful with his words (since he saw his co-worker, and a legendary color commentator Kim Dong-Jun get falsely accused of being an anti-T1 and got eviscerated by the T1 fans and ended up leaving the LCK) said it on his stream that HLE just flat out played better as a team, and DDos attacks were just a minor factor.

Even faker said in the interview that even though not being able to play soloQ sucked and is unfair, in the long run it shouldn't have impacted them that much. Also they did just make a lot of mistakes and just didn't perform that day.
Hopefully they can tighten up somewhat for Sunday or they might get 3 - 0 again.

In the same boat as you, SUPER happy T1 lost and HLE won, but if this is how, Im not so super on how I should feel... I dont think a remake is in place due to HLE performing REALLY well and it takes that away from them, but maybe T1 does deserve something.. not sure what since an MSI spot is too far up and you cant take anything away from other teams, but no one deserves to lose all chances cuz of fans going too far

I like the LCK as a region a lot so if they can perform internationally I feel less bitter. Winning against a team under less favorable conditions isn't as satisfying beating them full on. So while it may feel bad that the international powerhouse of T1 is suffering, all the HLE talk will be silenced if they can snag msi spot and win or win worlds even. I believe they have the talent, but is it really an international without a T1 that's ready to fight? I wonder if MSI viewership will dwindle this year.

@@LolLel-bk6uphonestly, I think there's a high chance they're gonna get a spot anyway if they do end up 3rd. VCS is messed up right now with the matchfixing scandal. They will probably give that slot to the last Worlds Winner's region. So it's possible that LCK can send 3 teams if Riot decides to do any sort of consideration.
I can't wait to see the T1 haters come out of the woodwork and talk about how this "isn't a big deal" and it "doesn't matter" when everyone knows 1000% it does.

Yeah but I think going in a war without any preparation really affects their performance. If they cant even scrim or soloq, what practice can they do offline, aside from playing 1v1 or reviewing vod of other teams’ scrims and games.
@@zhig_they can play on lan or move to a secret location for scrims, use a closed net, separated nets (from outside can another from those from inside), change IP addresses in short intervals. There are solutions, it just costs. And I'm certain this is a crime, especially in Korea, so they should fuck those guys, that are doing it legally.

I don't personally like T1. I've been an LPL enjoyer for years now, and the most joy I've gotten from international competition is watching T1 lose a best of 5 against us. But this isn't how I want to beat T1. Where's the satisfaction of beating a team that can't even practice the game? It's literally crippling the competition before a match. As a T1 Hater, I want to see them lose at their peek, not using scummy tactics like DDoS attacks to gain an unfair advantage. It ruins the joy of competition.
LPL can't even beat T1 if T1 can't qualify for internationals.

Think about this too, if their internet is getting taken out then it’s likely screwing with their scrims as well. They’ve basically been unable to effectively practice league for weeks then are expected to go on stage and perform at a high level. Thats likely why their drafts are so wonky lately as well because they’re HAVING to play comfort champs

T1 losing with these conditions are part of the game, but it certainly does reduce the quality of it, in which case it would be better if they solve this problem immediately rather than "it would take days, who knows how many scrims are they gonna lose while the other teams are already doing better". But of course, that is the ideal solution, and now they are simply facing the best solution to their problem. With these conditions, I am not surprised they got blown out by HLE

I’ll just say it first that this’s not 100% the reason for their loss but not having the “(hand) feeling” to play due to literally NOT BEING ABLE TO PLAY is such a huge problem. LCK took like a whole month for the Ddos issue, and that is already with a hand from Riot. These kind of problems will require a major change from the system of Riot to prevent further issues or else T1 will literally play handicapped not only these next match (which we won’t even sure it’ll be plural or not), but future games in MSI or even LCK Summer too.

Time to invest on cyber T1, hello ??
It's sad that because of stupid people it has to get there, but T1 needs to invest into cyber fast so their player can work.
I do really do hate the fact that this has been an ongoing issue since League of Legends existence. But now it's gotten so bad that the DDosers feel confident on doing it against a professional team, because they know their isn't a hard punishment or getting in trouble and nothing really to prevent them.
I also hate that Faker has this long credible career where he won several times and lost several times and not once has he ever blamed anything other than his own ability. But for the first time where even the proof is in everyone's faces, he has a legit reason to complain for his and his team's performance. Faker haters say he is a crying loser who doesn't know how to just accept he lost because he is old and sucks, that he should retire. Like it really shows how much lack of attention and education your parents give you if you are going after one of the most credible and well mannered player in League of Legends history.
The LCK is a league of parody, meaning the difference between the top teams is small- so yeah not scrumming and not queing has to make a huge impact.
Honestly, just let riot pause eSports. Or give them closed servers in a small network.
