- Paradise islands are usually expensive, but not Koh Tao, Thailand. You can get a lot for your money. Take a look at this 1000 THB hotel. The Koh Tao Heritage Hotel. Excellent value.

Eddie, best insect repellent is Avon skin so soft body oil spray. I have been using this for over 20 years. Definitely works.
Another superb video. Eddie Cambodia is now fully open, no pcr test, no restrictions. All you need is your passport and proof of vaccination.
Nice room good price,but no telly maybe a issue for some, noisy inconsiderate millienials would be more of a problem.

Please search koh tao- murder island and you will understand👍🏻
Young backpackers you'll love Koh Phangan then lol maybe explore the island and show us around Koh Tao... Never been but it's definitely more peaceful over the other two nearby

If you're going to Koh Samui. A nice cheap guest House. Try P chaweng. It's good location and nice rooms and guest friendly.

Been watching your videos for years now, and something I've always wanted to ask: why do you do youtube, Eddie? I know you work in England half the year, and then go on your winter travels, but I can't imagine you make much money on youtube, and you don't ever promote any products either (lots of youtubers do commercials in their videos these days to make a buck). Shooting, editing, and uploading vidoes and then interacting with us Yockels in the comments section must consume a lot of vacation time that can be used for picking up bar girls, visiting tropical islands and drinking beer. I deeply appreciate that you do this, but I've always wondered why you do it.
It's my hobby and I like it.

Cheers for that Eddie - looks a great place. Things have moved on since my day as a backpacker in Thailand (32 years ago). It wasn’t proper backpacker accommodation unless you were fighting the rats for your bed (and I am not exaggerating in some instances ). Cheers

Jesus Eddie. I just looked it up . That is only $37 ca a night . I can't believe it . It would be $200 a night in Toronto . With no beach ! What a deal .
Yes, hotels are still great value in Thailand
damn 1000 Baht a night, I will sell my stuff here in Belgium and live there for the rest of my life. Believe me, I own my own house but these days only for electricity you pay more than 1000 Baht per day around here. Then you have to buy overprized food etc.

here's question ed... you and other youtubers that vlog from all these places never mention if they have laundry on the premises... how do you wash your clothes with all these hotel hoping back and forthe

Laundry is very cheap there. $2-3 dollars for a large load.

Good, objective review. I stayed on Koh Tao in 2003, and on Samui in 1983; neither were very developed. I’d hope you can still experience some of the rustic qualities I remember on these islands.
Definitely not, all the islands have changed dramatically over the last 30 years, completely different to the 80s and 90s when it was just dirt roads and beachfront shacks
