@51wins Even though it was 90 odd years ago, people , would still be offended having the Orange order marching down O'Connell, and past the GPO. If they wanted to march in Dublin they could have chose a more appropriate street. Not the street that represents everything Ireland and our great leaders fought for.

@51wins I don't include the Republic.. only the Free Staters in the North.. The Ulster-Scots moved in there droves to Northern Ireland after the Independence of R.O.I. , There was plantations all over the country.. but we will talk about the Empire up your way.. Here you go with these figures again!! SNP have done there own due diligence.. It's 55%- 45%.. 55% in favour of British rule! only because of economic ties.. It will change in about 20 years... Im sure of that.

@51wins London where? It's Derry.. that name was given by an oppresser.. Cavan and Monaghan are not part of the North.. they are part of the province.. there accent still sounds Irish.. The Scottish plantators were responsible for most of what went on in the North, England controlled the rest. Now modern Scotland wants to be independent from British rule.. while there cousins hang Union Jacks up on flags praising the Queen.. turn coats!!! they fought the English 1st and then joined them.

I am an orange man from newry and i am also in a flute band. However my girlfriend is from dublin and i spend a lot of time there. I thought it would have been the attitudes from my family and my community that would have put a wedge between us but it has been quite the opposite. the attitude of many people from the south towards me and my culture is just ignorant and idiotic and is clearly demonstrated by the reaction to the love ulster parade.
