John Cowan is a pure thoroughbred stud ! Saw NGR twice in ‘89 Bass Mountain and Tampa fairgrounds and they thoroughly brought the house down both shows ! No band has captured the sound or feel this group put out there since ! Sweet memories and they encouraged a generation to move the needle !
Sam is one of the most humble and honest kindest people in the business. He seems shy till you put him on stage then it's Dr.Jekyll vs. Dr.Hyde, the energy NGR mildly put... EXPLOSIVE!
What a powerful band should have been more popular than they were. At the time they were ahead of their time " New Grass Revival " now it just sounds like bluegrass.

Love this band, always!

LOVE these guys together as a group! Only got to see them once, at the Strawberry Music Festival, Fall 1989.
You where lucky.
Great upload!!! Thank you!!
Not only is Sam a master mandolinist and fiddler, he also owns the greatest tee shirt collection in the world 😊
I have goosebumps in the first track...County Clare
Bluegrass radio DJ's wouldn't play New Grass back then! We happily danced in the mud to the new "fast grass" movement!!
Thanks for uploading. Their music gets me right in the heart!!
I was there!
Ahead of their time back then as well as NOW!
I was right there!!!
Love, Love this!
That is like insane - ya know?
NEVER be anything like this again, folks. Show me any other band with the technical ability to pull off "Bigfoot." Un-freaking-believable.
😮😁💟
Bigfoot is genius
Exceptional 😎
Love ya Sambo me amaño

Agreed
Right place- wrong time
They had a major record deal. But they were managed by Sam & his wife & didn't hire a PR firm.
Dude, I fucking know right!?!
