Logic Pro is really good on the Mac and the iPad version has a lot to offer as well. But I don't find the operation and clarity of the iPad version that good. Likewise, I'm not a fan of subscription models.
Someone who only knows the iPad version will probably be satisfied with it and will probably get along with it. But someone who knows the Mac version probably won't switch to the iPad version or would rather work with it than with the Mac version
Great video. Thank you Doug. However, LogicPro is not comptible to my current iPad and I think Cubasis will do everything I need.
I see I will have to buy a new ipad. Logic is so much better than Cubasis...
One thing i really want to know about is midi mapping/ midi learn. Can’t see a way to do it at all, I even read the manual lol If they’ve left midi control out, its a big mistake.
Maybe we can't midi learn yet, i shall have a good look and see
@@TheSoundTestRoom Think you are right mate. Hopefully it’ll be added in the future.
I couldn’t find the aquatic pulsations. In which pack does it comes? Thanks
"just going to play it for you HEAAAAAHH!"
Fascinating! looking forward to the next one!
Many thanks for sharing!!!!
Hi Doug. You say you’ve downloaded all the Alchemy patches - but is there any way to download them without having to download all the other stuff in the various packs? There’s a lot of stuff in many of those packs that I’m just not interested in, but it seems I can’t just download an Alchemy library?
I’ve already downloaded them all so I can’t confirm but I don’t believe so.
Yes, many of the extra download packs contain Alchemy patches, but if you check the description of each pack (just tap on the pack) it will tell you exactly what’s in the pack and you can preview the pack too.
Thanks Doug! I’ve been having a lot of fun diving into Logic Pro so far. Sculpture and the studio horns and strings are fantastic. Any plans for a standalone demo of Sculpture? Would love to hear you take a crack at it!
Thanks Haut, yes, I will definitely taking a look at Sculpture 😊
@@TheSoundTestRoom looking forward to it :)
Have you got a link to the alchemy presets plugin?
It’s all part of Logic Pro
Unfortunately, there is no FLEX Pitch mode, so we can't tweak the vocals manually. this is a big drawback of the ipad version
Do you think this daw would be good for techno compared to fl studio
Yes, you can do any kind of music with Logic Pro

Evening Doug
11:08 “hello!”
There are a lot more patches in Alchemy on Mac , only a few of them on Logic for iPad ? It would be nice to have the possibility to download them from the app instead of making songs in Logic for Mac and airdrop them over , that’s not convenient 😊
There a way to create and select transients and move in audio editor?
Not yet no. There is some Flex Time but its only quantizing currently
@@cured_bacon647 thanx! and there is a graphic way to fade in and out with curves an audio track?
You can only rent? You are not owner of this program?
Ping me when they offer it as a one-time purchase. 😂
There is nothing you do in Logic Pro that you can’t do in cubasis or any other iOS DAW
Well, that’s not strictly correct, in Logic Pro you can change the tempo mid track, you can also add markers, and, key signature changes, you can also change the time signature mid track.
However, Cubasis does allow you to use IAA, Logic Pro does not.
Cubasis is still a very powerful DAW, and I will continue to use it and NanStudio 2 and AUM.
But Logic Pro does do an awful lot other DAWs don’t do….yet😊
Well to each his own but paying for another subscription isn’t worth having markers and how often do you change time signatures in a song?
@@musacman57 depending on the kind of music you’re making all of those things can be useful. Also more options for automation and some very good built in synths and drums. Plus a full fledged physical modeling synth. Also the simple fact that some people will click more with Logic. Nothing wrong with that.
