    You are by far the best golf instructor on the planet. You break down the swing but you present it as a process as opposed to a series of static positions. Five years ago I paid a fair amount of money for golf lessons (I won’t name the company but it rhymes with wreck.) The pandemic ended the lessons and it was the only good thing that came from covid.

    When you talk about getting the hands low what do I need to know about getting the clubhead back to impact position?

    • @MyGolfDNA
      @MyGolfDNA  4 місяці тому +1

      The movement that you felt from the trail thigh to the finished release position should be in your brain. You should keep that in focus as you start down from the 60% position. Things are happening quickly so as soon as you start moving to the lead side, feel step one happening simultaneously. Hope that helps.

    Building one layer on top of another.
    I think you also helped me with my issues.
    Out on my toes to much (balance) and toe heavy on a divot.
    -they may related, I may be swinging to hard, I’m coming forward to the ball, then I come out of it.
    When the pressure comes down on my front foot, shld I feel it on heel, to correct out on the toes?
    Thx again.

      Get the wight back under the ankle as close to the heel as you possibly can as quickly as you can. In transition, the weight is going to try and move towards the ball of the foot. Keep the lead hip rotating back without shoving off the trail side (while focusing on where the weight needs to land) and you'll be cooking with some hot sauce.

      Played yesterday, I’m a 57 year old former college athlete who can hit 300+ forever. I think though I’m not sequencing to make it smoother, it’s more smash balls swinging hard that I can get away with athletically.
      I’m getting into the slot nicely for fairways hit, next up is combining that thought with getting that front hip moving back.
      I did win some $$ with your video yesterday! 🤜

    If you want to feel the sweet spot to Broadway you must watch this video up to 10.45 over and over again - the subtle angle of the wrist is where the secret lies...
    Chris:You need to break this video up into 3 parts. There is too much to absorb. Part 1 should end at 10.45

      Thanks for the feedback. We're going to be working on breaking videos like this up into more concentrated series in the future. Glad you found some good stuff in the first 10+ mins. Love to hear it. Keep going my friend.

    Just as with every other youtube teacher talking about lag, it never includes where the wrist angle at thigh high is released thru the impact area. Some show the trail wrist still in the set position thru impact along with shaft lean to compress the ball while what I'm seeing from you is that the angle is released & is flat at impact or am I mistaken in what I'm seeing? That's my issue with holding lag. Where is it released because I find it difficult to time correctly. It obviously happens quickly so I don't know if you can be that exact. When I watch Scheffler play, he doesn't look like he has much wrist set at the top of his swing much like Steve Stricker. It just seems simpler that way & should be much more repeatable. I haven't tried it yet so it remains to be seen.

    • @MyGolfDNA
      @MyGolfDNA  3 місяці тому

      Lag is NOT something I want you to hold when you’re in fluidity. Ever.
      Showing a consistent position at delivery and at impact for what the wrists need to look like, in order to deliver the club properly is not a great idea simply from the massive amounts of variance we see in the grip.
      I want students to learn how to support the club in sequence and to get rid of the support at the right time. We don’t want to produce sharp angles that are hard to manage and rely on timing. We want to push students to feel and see something different (albeit exaggerated) and then put movement and athleticism to it as quickly as possible to see if it sticks with the student like we want it to. Everyone responds differently and part of being an instructor is to understand that and then help the student figure out a solution to the problem. I don’t like being grouped in with “every other instructor” so I’d love to have you come over to the website and lll do a free virtual lesson for you to help you understand what’s best for you. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll make it happen Mike.

    Thank you for sharing, my miss is as I transition from the top down, my back shoulder raises up which promotes a over top move. To address this I now feel like I throughing a fast pitch underhand pitch. Where I feel my back shoulder rolling back and under. This allows me to create lag and snap (not the right term) through impact. Interested in your thoughts? Please be straight forward.

    • @MyGolfDNA
      @MyGolfDNA  2 місяці тому +1

      When you look at the swing from a face on perspective, the trail shoulder should still be higher than the through transition. The trail shoulder will then start to work under as you mention as the hands and arms work down in front of the body into the release.

      So much cheating going on in the background. I have a big outtake file filled with club helicopter tosses, windshield punches and ball kicks! Maybe I should make a compilation video. That’s hole #1 as well so you know it gets worse throughout the day.
