TRIP REPORT | SWISS A220 Business Class | Zurich to Berlin | My FAVORITE Regional Aircraft (CS100)!

- Trip Report of my SWISS Airbus A220-100 (ex CS100) flight from Zurich to Berlin in Business Class. This was the second flight of the year 2019. After spending some time in the new Business Lounge A at Zurich Airport it was time to catch my flight back home to Berlin Tegel. I got an aircraft change (again) but this time it was positive :D From an Airbus A220-300 (which I already flew several times (Air Baltic)) to an A220-100 - the smaller version of my favorite regional aircraft. I was to first passenger to board and was amazed by the bright and modern cabin. The aircraft comes in a 2-3 seat configuration however in Business Class you will always have a free seat next to you (1-2). Snow was falling outside so de-icing was needed before departure causing our 1 hour delayed departure. I had no problem with it - I just enjoyed the show (check out the full wing view videos on my channel)! After a very powerful short takeoff the service was about to begin. On this 1 hour 20 minute long flight Swiss served a cold meal and a wide selection of drinks. The salmon fillet was tasty and the potato salad went great with it. On the side they served two kinds of cheese with a fresh bun and also a nice dessert. After the meal service was finished we already started the descent into Berlin Tegel Airport. Exchanged a few words with the crew and the pilots and then headed back home after a great flying day. I am already looking forward to my next Swiss Business Class flights (within Europe) on my birthday in May :D

Looks very spacious and not so tight like the Embraer E-Jets, footage was great!
indeed - that's why I prefer the A220. But the E-Jets are also nice :D

Yes I was a little disappointed that the kids where: first flying Business and secondly so loud...
Great aircraft. That Aisle width is incredible and gives a greater feeling of spaciousness especially relative to other CRJs. I hope more US airlines buy A220. It is a shame Bombardier couldnt hold out - this aircraft seems to be a jackpot. Airbus made a smart move.
I don’t really understand going anything but economy for flights this short.
Unless you get business class for quite close to economy fare, it seems like a waste of money.
I normally fly Economy all the time so why not experience something new.
Of course you don't need the beer and food but it is a great experience - at least in my opinion ;)

So the plane is full economy, but for business ticket holder gets two seats. I wonder if two economy tickets will be cheaper lol. Good video!

I think it is cheaper to get 1 Business class ticket ;) Also you get visit the lounge and get food onboard. (You can buy the upgrade while you book your Economy ticket - much cheaper than buying Business directly).
Ist immer lustig, wie man sich über das BC-Essen voll freut. Wo es bei genauerem Hinsehen ein Essen wie in der Kaufhauskantine ist .... :D
This Swiss Lounge looks great, very good designed! We never flew in such new cabin! It looks like seats just came from the factory! 😀

Die würde ich gerne auch mal bei Schnee fliegen in der Business und mit ausreichend Beinfreiheit, aber CS100 ist diese schon länger nicht mehr ;)
Can this plane cross the ocean just like the 737 max can? Would be a perfect plane to link smaller cities from Europe and the US.
It could. But not sure if it makes sense to fly 100 pax over the pond...

Haha you're right but I just love this plane and would love to see it on some more routes. Maybe even across the pond. Just because it can.
After seeing that quick takeoff and steep climb, do you get the impression that the A220 is exceptionally powerful for its size? Like the Boeing 757, it seems to accelerate more quickly and get off the ground far more easily than a 737 NG or even the 737 MAX, and the old A320CEO.
Indeed - the CS100 is a very powerful aircraft!
Are SWISS adding the Business Class dividers/curtains to their A220 fleet or have they always been there?

Hey man! When do you want to fly to Romania again? It's a wonderful country with lots of things to visit like: Sinaia, Nehoiu, Brasov, Sibiu, Deva, Iasi etc. I would love to see a tript report flying to Romania
I am looking at the options and would love to come back but it is not optimal. The trip doesn't work out how I would like it to be... Would love to fly the Tarom A318 on a cheap route - maybe you have an idea?

It is my favourite regional aircraft as well. Much better than the Embraers. Swiss business class looks good.

I will see for myself in May! Booked some flights on Jetblue, Delta and United.
trust me i flew them all , an it is nowhere near.. not even a close ,well maybe jetblue I do love them, I miss Virgin America which was bought out by Alaska airlines@@PlaneSpottingBerlin
