  • For more than 40 years, the Papua New Guinea Institute of Medical Research has maintained an insectary to breed mosquitoes used to research vector-borne diseases. This documentary shows the facility in rural Yagaum, outside of Madang Town. Featured are international scientists, lab technicians, mosquito handlers, and emerging Papua New Guinean research leaders talking about their work and the insectary's unique contribution. The document also gives a sneak preview of the Belna Natnat Centre, the new home for the insectary that opened in 2023.
The documentary was part of PNGIMR's 2022 Virtual Symposium.

I am so impressed firstly with the documentation and the informative production and secondly congratulate the team and also my son for the footage and the level of publicity selling the PNGIMR institution globally. I guess the link from here to another production would be prevention and more community involvement and their participation. Great work son keep it up.
