    for symmetry best practice for me that i stuck by so far is dont make 1 side first and then do the other side, best clone what u just did and mirror it to the other side before u forget how u actually just did it :). when i make 1 wing first and try to clone it it tends to come out different.
    for beginners this is the way to go in my opinion if u wanna keep it simple, but again thats what works for me.
    the owl looks amazing, thanks for sharing you work/processes, as always.

      Yeah I kind of do bits all over gradually but I couldn’t so the other side of the wing for the finer feather detail on this.
      I stumbled on a problem when working on a spread winged bird and I had completed the carve and I was burning in the plumage so I had done one wing and needed to reference the other side…. That’s where the idea came from and I use it from time to time…. Catch up soon it’s been a long wet grim winter and spring…..
