Given her landlord refused to get FFTX to the building (either FFTB or FFTH), Laplus will have to move to a different place to finally get proper speed. The problem here is not "WiFi vs Ethernet", it's "aDSL vs FFTX". PS: the actual *WiFi technology is perfectly fine for high speed Internet,* with 802.11n you can get _actual_ 50 (2.4 GHz only) to 80 mbps (mixed 2.4/5 GHz), with 802.11ac it can get actual over 100 mbps. To stream in 1080p60 on UA-cam, you only need between 5 to 7 mbps upload, so even in 802.11n in 2.4 GHz, it would be largely enough (10 times the requirement). The only noticeable downside of WiFi over wired ethernet is *latency fluctuation.* Depending on the router, Wi-Fi card on the device and the distance between the two (signal strength), it could add from 2 to 15 ms of latency. It really depends on the stability of the internet and ping as well, a stable 5mbps with no fluctuation could at least provide a smooth youtube video around 720p while a fluctuating 5mbps will lag even when playing a 360p video and downloading.

Wow, I thought my internet was slow at 8 Mbps. I truly feel for Laplus, my actual download speed is only 1.2 MB/s. If a new large file game comes out that meand my buddies want to play, either they have to wait up to 2 days for me to download it, or I get left behind for 2 days (I actually prefer this because I feel so guilty making them wait).
