Honestly, that Gravelord Sword is a viable endgame weapon at +5 and its damage isn't split damage, and you can easily get it to +5 before O&S if you raid the chests and kill the demon in Anor Londo, trade a dung pie and a prism stone, and kill a couple more demons (maybe the one below Andre and either one of the ones at Sen's Fortress or the one in the Catacombs). Having a maxed Black Knight Greatsword probably helped 😅 I think I didn't actually get around to summoning him until my third or fourth playthrough, and yeah, he is an absolute beast in that fight. Basically your change in vertical position was fast enough for that damage to kick in despite it not being a fall. I could be mistaken but I believe that was the explanation i saw a few years ago.
When you did the jump attack on the Taurus Demon and you were briefly staggered, you can see how you lost a bit of life, that's because his feet have their own hitbox and they can hit you when he moves 😆

The Black Knight's Halberd actually can be aquired later in the game. The very last area of the game, but still sooner than never. Chaos also does not scale with stats so your reaspning for oreferring Lightning also applies to Chaos Otherwise interesting video, niceee
"cheesing" the DS1 and not playing thief with BFB and therefore already failing to chees the asylum demon... Well I don't know about that. Gonna watch the rest but I had to type this immediately after I saw it :D
14:14 chaos is best for early game when you usually don't have enough str and dex for scaling, normal +15 (or technically crystal, i guess) is the best late game option once you get the stats.
Choose bandit to start off with master key and choose black firebombs as your gift and that’s the easiest way to cheese the first demon without having to grab your gear first and if you beat him before grabbing your gear it guarantees he drops his great hammer
To cheese Asylum Demon: start as thief, it's almost like warrior stats wise it automatically gets the master key. Then take black fire bombs as your starter gift they do massive damage against the Asylum Demon and you still get to use the master key
I forgot to explain this in the video, the issue with that strategy is strength. You need 16 for the Gravelord Sword. Starting out as Warrior you only need 3 level ups to wield it, but as Thief you need 7. Obviously it's not a huge difference in the long run, but my goal was to not have to fight anything until after getting the Gravelord Sword. And even if I grab every soul possible on the way to get it, you still only have like 5 I think.
This video is so great! Gigacheese is the way I found you in the first place and now you are by far my favorite UA-camr. Like by a long shot. BUTTTTTTT where’s wukong? 😂 jk I get it! Keep making awesome shit my dude! Catch ya on the next ine
I'll never forget finding that coffin. Had no internet and nearly crapped myself finding it around SL40. Worth being tortured by skeletons as a stupid kid blindly running through that tomb. Gravelord sword is such a cool weapon.
My prefered method of brain empty cheese is Lightning Zweihander pancakes. Might be milqutoast at this point but its got the big boy damage, the amount of enemies resistant to lightning is quite small, and the heavy attack pancakes smaller enemies and staggers most bigger enemies. Spam that heavy attack and you have won the game.
Fun video! If anything, this feels like an unnecessary harder way to play. Crypt dives always strike me as being harder to get away with than they're worth, and as cool as the bkh is, it has terrible scaling and high reqs; it's literally only good for O&S compared to alternatives. My "break the game" style is to level a basic weapon (longsword, claymore, halberd, katana etc) to level 5, and then kill the hydra and save Dusk. Buy her wand; it requires only 12 int and gives damage scaling as if you had 27. Magic weapon, and later great magic weapon, add insane dps to otherwise great weapon movesets. Get Havel and crafting mats/roll for BKH while you're down there, and presto.
I feel like an exception would be the great scythe, you only need to run past a couple skeletons and roll off some ledges for that and that weapon is busted for PvE
@@Smoothbrainium Yeah, it's not unreasonable. Same with getting the mace if you don't want to start cleric. Still, I think doing that is maybe only worth it after you've already gotten to parish, so you can have a decent weapon to not have to worry about getting stuck around skeletons. GS is definitely busted, and even works with the style I described!

14:14 chaos is best for early game when you usually don't have enough str and dex for scaling, normal +15 (or technically crystal, i guess) is the best late game option once you get the stats.
Good video, u seem like a starter or just forgot everything from the game, i laughed a lot
Choose bandit to start off with master key and choose black firebombs as your gift and that’s the easiest way to cheese the first demon without having to grab your gear first and if you beat him before grabbing your gear it guarantees he drops his great hammer
man i cant get enough of this series lmao
to deal most damage with plunge on asylum just do a jumping attack instead of plunging attack, super consistent double hit
ok but neco arc in the end got me subscribing
For a dark souls vet you really got the business on that run 😂
You can cheese the asylum demon by... leaving him alive. IMHO it's "wrong way" enough
@@prozkryptix that's fine I completely understand
Some goats wandering by. souls is just armored core with magic 😂 this is awesome!💚🐐💚
If you don't cheese the gme, the game gonna chees you. This run's cursed
actual cheese would be running to ash lake and getting the dragon greatsword and then killing ceaseless discharge
This video is so great! Gigacheese is the way I found you in the first place and now you are by far my favorite UA-camr. Like by a long shot. BUTTTTTTT where’s wukong? 😂 jk I get it! Keep making awesome shit my dude! Catch ya on the next ine
I feel attacked. The first 5 minutes is just how i normally start the game lol
Love the content. Too bad I can’t subscribe more than once. You deserve the support
I'll never forget finding that coffin. Had no internet and nearly crapped myself finding it around SL40. Worth being tortured by skeletons as a stupid kid blindly running through that tomb. Gravelord sword is such a cool weapon.
If you go to the catacombs early, the great scythe isn't a bad choice either. Easy to get it to plus 5 then 10 really early
