I've endured these for forty years. 1. The best ointment for relief for me has been Zilactin-B (not Zilactin-A). I've tried the rest, nothing worked. Dry the sore with cotton, apply a decent amount, let it air-dry in your mouth til the ointment goes light brown/grey and dry. 2. I'm convinced that consuming too much sugar causes them (cookies, chewing gum, chocolate, Snapple etc.
Thank you I will try that I had rice pudding last night with cinnamon in it before I went to bed. I woke up with sore on roof of my mouth. I read this morning that cinnamon can cause you to get a sore in your mouth.
I have had the same ulcer in the same place for about a week and I have to be careful about what I eat and make sure I chew on the opposite side of my mouth and it really sucks.

it doesnt actually neutralize the acid, the magnesium creates a barrier that prevents acid from going up, so it creates a barrier to heal it preventing more bacteria

Thank you for creating this video. It’s 04/17/2920 and we are all on quarantine. I started having a toothache about 3 days ago, but I couldn’t find the problem. No abscess, no trapped food, no obvious chips, or cracks. Tonight I noticed the inside lower cheek and gum are went from aching, to feeling sensitive. If you have apple cider vinegar rinsing with that will also help. It will take anywhere from 1-3 days to see some relief, but do those a few times each day and it will help. I have one on my tongue and those are the hardest to get rid of. Also, and this can be a bit painful, but if you take a q-tip and dab it in the salt water or the apple cider vinegar and then scrub the ulcer with the q-tip it seems to help it recover quicker in my experience. This is just a home remedy of course and I'm not a doctor, but these things have helped me.

yep thx for the help, i hate dealing with these pains i get them quite often too but anyway i’m gonna get the antacid to help them and i also recommend bonjela because it’ll soothe the pain for like 1-3hours and it really helps
These are helpful tips things I do for awfully painful mouth blisters: Pepto Bismol swirl and swallow, “gold” Listerine (diluted with water to tolerate) swish and spit, coconut oil swirl and hold in mouth a minute or two, then swallow; baking soda in warm water swirl and spit; drink Earl Grey tea, then put the used tea bag in mouth like a lozenge and gently suck on it for as long as you like. Use a spoonful of coconut oil to keep mouth moist. I brush teeth gently with it, too, then rinse and spit. Jason’s coconut toothpaste is the only one I use. I cannot tolerate any mint or other flavored toothpastes or mouthwashes.

That Orajel rinse's main active ingredient is 1.5% hydrogen peroxide. Plus a little menthol for "pain relief". And it's also 4% alcohol. I suspect a solution of equal parts 3% hydrogen peroxide and water would work as well. I guess if you really get relief from the menthol you could get some xylitol + menthol cough drops too.
I have these pill things that you can stick on the ulcer. They are round and small and stick right on. You put them on before bed and in the morning, it has either fallen off or is still there. You can then wipe it off. It doesn’t hurt at all. But you shouldn’t lick it too much. I’ve used it a couple times and they really do work! My ulcer was gone the next day. I don’t know what it’s called because the name and packaging was in Chinese and I can’t read or write, and I didn’t ask my mum for the name. She wouldn’t of been able to translate it to me (her English isn’t very good)

I think the Oragel is basically peroxide in the bottle and you can save money by just buying a bottle of peroxide

Didnt have the liquid antacid so i just used a tums and rubbed it on the sore itself, worked okay, teamed up with lidocaine really helped
