Probably the odd one out, but I prefer Canabalt. The art style is much better in my opinion. Not shown in this video is the cool music. And I like the giant robots in the background and machines falling from the sky and buildings collapsing. The fast pace is also really fun. These two games should really not be compared as they're totally different, but I still prefer Canabalt.
The problem with this comparison is that while the main characters are similar(possibly ripped off), canabalt is an action arcade game, while vector is an action puzzle game. Both require quick reflexes(canabalt quicker) but vector has an ending which makes it harder to say "Vector is the better game" or "Canabalt is the better game". Long story short these two games are different. Too different to compare properly.
Vector definitely gets more difficult towards the end of construction yard and into technology park and the bonuses. It required precision timing and movement memorization to get really good runs.

Vector seems more like some kind of mirror's edge thing. You want freedom, and you go for it. Disobeying and making a break for it.
You do realise u judged it’s difficulty on one of the easiest levels right and do realise that the point of it is to try and get all stars on it which can be easy but I swear that the contruction levels and above are very hard to get all 3 stars on

Also if we’re talking physics, I’d give that point to Vector because the physics in Canabalt HD are super weird. Also, from a story perspective, Vector gets a point because I there’s actually incentive for the guy to get away. In Canabalt HD, there’s no reason why the guy couldn’t just stop running altogether and be absolutely fine.
You haven't played it much. Canabalt's story is about an alien invasion that humans are too powerless to stop. If you notice the background, there is smoke and weird robot machines. When you go past a certain point you can see more alien landmarks and some big space ships.

Vector used to have no hunter mode. They also had a gadget called Slow Time. Slow Time was removed and there was a new mode added
