- Tabitha (Erin Murphy) has zapped herself into the fairytale of Hansel and Gretel, and Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery) has to follow her to save her before she gets eaten by the evil witch (Bobo Lewis).
From Season 8 Episode 10 'Hansel and Gretel in Samanthaland' - After Tabitha zaps Hansel and Gretel out of the story, Samantha must enter it to go after the runaway Tabitha.

Tabitha going into the books or zapping characters out of the books was some of the most clever writing on television. Jack and the beanstalk, halloween characters, turning her toys into live characters. That was all genius.

I can watch bewitch over and over but knowing how things started to get for her during these seasons, you can tell the excitement and charm she once had even acting was disappearing around season 7 and 8
Funny that Samantha draws a distinction here between herself and a "storybook witch", because when the pilot episode was broadcast in Spanish, her honeymoon confession said otherwise. English broadcast: "I am a witch. A real, house-haunting, broom-riding, cauldron-stirring witch." The Spanish version translated back as "I am a witch. A storybook witch who travels on broom and frightens the children." ("Yo soy una bruja. Una bruja de cuento que viaja en escoba y asusta a los niños.")

Sometimes there aren't translations of English words to other languages, or those doing the translation had other reasons to translate the piolot that way.

Why is the witch listed as Bobo Lewis in the description, when that is clearly Billie Hayes? Billie was Witchie Poo on Puff N Stuff and Weenie Genie on Lidsville! Love her!!! She was the best character actress in the day!!

I like how Samantha goes back 2 the witch's gingerbread house & Samantha uses her powers to show the evil witch who she's messing with & Samantha zaps herself & tabitha back home & Samantha sends Hansel & gretel back in the book
I always thought that Elizabeth Montgomery looks fabulous in short skirts. She played the part of Samantha in Bewitched perfectly.

Witchiepoo versus couldn't ask for a better crossover of characters
While any episode of Bewitched is hilarious, this one is really hilarious, the ones that had Bobo Lewis are a scream, this one & Jack & The Beanstalk, even the Clio Vanita one, in a sense the way Billie Hayes & Margaret Hamilton were known for playing witches, they both sound alike & almost look alike in their portrayal!!!
Margaret Hamilton is my favorite witch.

Instead of recycling old scripts, Bewitched could have made more episodes featuring Tabitha having storybook adventures.

Mother I have relay by Cinderella the u on their assembly has it tied. The lower string measures under the shoulder chested idea. Like upper plates by bustier where they pull it their bondsmen bills from their bra
It would have been so much nicer if Samantha had said loving things to Tabitha. Seems as if she was mostly frustrated, upset or flat out angry at her. And that was Darren's fault and his standards. Otherwise his child could have been raised with more positivity. That and Dam always having to apologize were the two things i disliked about the show.
So Samantha shouldn't at least scold Tabitha for deliberately running off and interfering in the story, making Samantha and Darrin worried and creating chaos by bringing Hansel and Gretel into the real world? Tabitha was lucky to ONLY get a scolding for that!
Tabitha continually refused to listen to her mother yet you want to ascribe blame and responsibility to Darrin? smh
