I can almost imagine the real Anne Frank thinking the lyrics, blue was her favorite color. It's like she's singing about longing to be free and live a normal life, seeing her friends again, seeing the blue sky and feeling fresh air. "shine sun, burn my eyes, been so long they want to cry" makes me think of once they were arrested and she was outside for the first time in years, but not free, longing and hoping for freedom to live.
Just watched the movie tonight, one of the most interesting out of the box family movies I've seen in a while and the soundtrack is a big part of that, wish the whole thing was accessible

I saw this at the cinema with my mom back in February. I liked this movie very much, especially this track!
