    It's funny that there's always something bigger than you would expect on a yacht of this size :)))
    BEAUTIFUL YACHT!

    The Wasp system is made by Furuno and was covered in an Esysman video a couple years ago. The really sad part is I asked if once an area was mapped out, was that then uploaded to a central cloud to show an updated area of previously unexplored Oceans amd was told 'No'. The owner paid for it and it is theirs. If they choose to share it, they can but it isn't uploaded to anywhere but the mothers hip. However most captains will share information if you contact them about a particular area if they've been there before. Why networking is so important.

      Storms can move sandbars around so it is probably a good idea to re-scout an area if the information is more than a few months old.

      The WASSP system is not made by Furuno but by WASSP which is a division of the ENL group based in Auckland / New Zealand. ENL is distributor of Furuno products in New Zealand and they are partially owned by the Furuno Electric Company in Japan. Just like M/Y ROCHADE, a large number of other Superyachts are using the WASSP Multibeam Echosounder in their tender(s) to remotely map the seafloor of uncharted or poorly charted areas to allow the ‘mothership’ an exclusive and more safe access into the area.
      Also, the mapped data can be shared to a central database, it’s just not done automatically like you want, but it’s rather a choice by the captain, owner or whoever owns the mapped data they made. I know for a fact that almost all these Superyachts, Cruise ships and other vessels that are using these WASSP systems, want to decide themselves wether to share their mapping data with the public in a central database or not. As far as I know it’s not obligatory to do so…

    Great job Wes. The Sea of Cortez offers amazing cruising and I love the whole Pacific coast of MX from Vallarta down to Acapulco/Huatulco -- always awesome winter weather. Delta Marine and Burger are the remaining custom superyacht builders in the US with quality that matches the northern European yards. The two potential downsides of this vessel are the composite construction which is a trademark of Delta but many owners prefer steel/aluminum and the use of the main deck aft as the boat deck and tender storage. Personally, I would never sacrifice the aft deck for tenders -- plus it looks rather .... hmmmmm .... "ugly" outside the main salon. I considered a 40m Hakvoort that had the same issue and it was a deal breaker.

    It's a looker but not a lot of space for a 156 ....tiny Master and Sky lounge for example. Better options out there in that size range I think

    I think for size of vessel the main deck saloon and upper saloon are poorly laid out! Big bars not needed that ruins the saloon seating to watch tv! Have a bar on top saloon as it is and no bar in main saloon and have huge u shape seating so 12 people can sit comfortably to watch tv! A movie a big game or water nature documentaries of areas you travel to! Its a nice yacht but the lack of a large saloon dedicated for 12 guests to sit and watch tv that you will 100PERCENT use on long range travel over 2 to 4 weeks lets it down for me! Thanks Dave for another great video! God bless all and happy sailing all ! ❤🙏🛥⚓

    I'm only seeing berthing for seven crew, eight if the captain comes as a couple maybe. It's hard to tell though. I 'might' be seeing an additional crew cabin in the rear of the aft lower deck? Very nice galley and great captain's cabin!

    • @damot1051
      @damot1051 Рік тому

      Looks like 3 twin crew cabins up front, captains cabin and possibly an engineers cabin at the rear if I'm seeing the deck plan correctly. Possibly 9 or 10 crew (if the engineers cabin is also a twin?)

    this video was excellent as always, the standard of this channel is excellence. If these comments are read, I would love to put in a request for a large super yacht currently listed with Northrop and Johnson; Bleu de Nimes
    she's a unique vessel and I'd love to see the take David and the Yachts for Sale team have on her

    I like the information but, not the overly loud music. You're usually so good about picking the right music and mixing it so it's not so in your face.

    David, when you are introducing a yacht for N&J as a professional, why do you glibly waffle about the World and then introduce an American yacht with a video that only talks about archaic Imperial measurements that mean nothing to the majority of the World's population?
    If N&J are only flogging a US made yacht to the US market then say so, don't waffle on but if you are considering flogging the yacht to the World, the civilised developed cultured sophisticated European mob who use the the Metric system then please quote metrics for the sentient beings and yes, quote feet and pounds for the predecessors of the Neanderthals!
