- Taking the ol’ Kay Speed Demon out for a spin ! I like to do various versions of “Write Me a Few of Your Lines/Kokomo Blues”-here’s my most recent take on it. Also, happy birthday weekend to the man who penned these tunes, Mississippi Fred McDowell. 🎶 - Alicia Marie #kayspeeddemon #blues

my uncle in Roquefort Georgia took a beef bone and filed it down with a file, and this is my style when you hear me doing this and amazing grace and I play that too, and I do not play no rock and roll

Hi, I'm living in Slovenia and I have 100% the same guitar made by kay under the brand old kraftsman. My father bought it 1960 in Chicago where we were living at that time. The guitar is very well preseved and has the origin suitcase. If you are interested I can send you some pictures. God bless you.

Don Crowder Yea, it’s a hip guitar! I just got it from a guitar store. I ended up passing one up in Minneapolis and I made a promise to myself that I would get the next one I saw. Hence, this ol’ Speed Demon.
@@bluesbaby8 Kay also made Harmony guitars and they made private labels for all the catalog companies (Sears, Montgomery Wards, J.C. Penny, Western Auto, Oklahoma Tire & Supply and I'm sure there were others around the nation). I've got an old acoustic Harmony that a friend gave me. They were so cheap that the fret markers and pickguard were spray painted on. I had to do some repairs on it but it feels and sounds great. It's also plenty loud even though I put electric nine's on it to reduce the stress on the neck.
@@DonCrowder Indeed. I know what you mean. I have an old 1940's Stella that I dig playing. It puts out a great sound too for being a cheaper guitar, etc.
