The first 15mins of this story are so exhaustingly pointless. Wahhhh my dad gets drunk because his wife died, wahhhhhh. Seriously, why can’t anyone ever use an editing tool or I don’t know just find a random stranger and ask them to read the story and then ask them if they are literally at the point where they want to never read another word the writer writes after the seventeenth time the protagonist cries about her dad being a sad drunk. Holy God
I disagree completely. I read your comment and paid extra attention & to me it was all character development & background. We find out about the alcoholism and mother's death yes, we also hear the other stories of the gutter and it's ghosts and how they're all connected. Not every story is for everyone and it's fine to offer constructive criticism but no reason to be overly critical. If you think you can do better go for it.
