Although AP people are against BJP, which destroyed the AP by denying what is assured, the politicians in the state are supporting the AP backstabbing party for their political survival. In 2019, AP people gave 22 out of 25MPs to YCP to get the SCS but it failed miserably in fighting for the SCS due to fear of progressing CBI cases against YSJ. Unfortunately, the TDP also can't fight against the BJP due to cases against CBN, so they formed an alliance to avoid CBN going to jail again.

You cannot compare present-day modern India with India of that era. Back then, India had just recently gained independence, India was still figuring out politics, illiteracy was high, and Congress was the de-facto political party. In the present circumstances, it is almost impossible to reach those high numbers by any political party and it will remain so in the future too. In fact, the numbers that BJP and NDA are getting right now, despite there being so many established political parties like Congress and many regional parties, is miraculous in of itself. Modi has done the impossible in the modern era.

Shekhar ji, the rise of regional parties across India that has plagued India since 1984 is because people were fed up with the Politics of Congress.
BJP is not only fighting the unpopularity of Congress, it is actually fighting the unpopularity of a “National” party with the regional parties.
This will take time but BJP is on its way forward. Imagine, having a single party majority in 2014 when we had forgotten that it could ever be possible.

BJP is definitely getting more than 303 votes, likely 310-335. NDA is getting more than 350 votes, likely 360-375 but not 370 and 400. For that, they need to improve on certain regions like Kerala, TN, Punjab and Odisha.
Dont know about kerela and punjab, but in tamil nadu and odisa, there footprint is increasing fast. Annamalia from TN is doing very good job, not to mention he is very well educated too, the public are starting to look at him more now.
And not to mention, BJP will be getting more seats in benga too. And even may change the government in the 2029 election and dethrone TMC. So theres fair enough chance for BJP to cross 350-360 and NDA to get 390-400.

After Independence INC started with strike rate of 74.48%(In 1952), and got their highest strike rate of 76.52(In 1984) with conditions like No bigger National party, Indra Gandhi death etc., And after that INC didn't cross even 50 strike rate.
BJP formed first Govt in 1996 with strike rate 29.65, and in 2019 they are at 55.80 with conditions like Grand Old opposition party etc.,

The 303 seats BJP got only in 436 seats it fought in 2019 which makes it a strike rate of 70%(47% vote share in contested seats) slightly less than 80% of congress which got 414 fighting in 518 seats in 1984 with vote share of 48%
In AP, TDP is interested in the alliance with BJP not because of the fear of losing cadre. It is because it is very much worried about the massive fraud and violent attacks by the ruling party which can be avoided if BJP is with TDP.

It is astonishing to predict so accurately the number of seats to be secured in a democracy, this calculation must be left to the free will of the electorate to decide which party has to govern them. In fact this shows the craze to capture power by hook or crook and influence the public opinion rather than honour their right to choose a party of choice. The political arena should be kept as a free zone for political wrestlers to fight back each other and the spectators should be the final judge about the confernment of the trophy.
Rajeev Gandhi was an incompetent and clueless politician. He got 414 seats but in just 5 years he lost power. Modi got 282 in 2014 and got 303 in 2019 i.e. an increase of 21 seats. The data says how incompetent Rajiv Gandhi was as a politician.

290+ if BJP keeps things the same as they were a month ago. The remaining 90 seats will depend on local factors. BJP still hasn’t finalized it’s candidates in a large number of seats. I’d be curious to see who they pick and where. Will BJP go with Aditi Singh for Raebareli? How is Amit Shah going to resolve the Konkan conundrum (Sena-BJP seat share)? What will be the BJP’s caste arithmetic in Bihar?

The daily utterances of RG is actually making it easy. So chanting caste caste will only create opposite consolidation. Upper caste will consolidate against INC. They should know that. The caste census will ensure that INC never comes back to power. It will promote micro caste-based parties (more dynasties) & from that will come patronage. Patronage of money, these parties will provide muscle. Plus what has INC & precisely RG has done in last 10 years to make voter think yes I must give him an opportunity. INC has still got lots of Juice provided they are ready to look beyond the family. I hope INC gets reduced to early 30s so that they decide to finally do away with the family.
