That young lady became my wife, and we were together for 58 years before she passed. Your cover of the song brought back wonderful memories, and I am forever your fan.
My condolences, my friend. My wife and I are at 52 and counting. Thank God I still have her and I hope we can reach your record. Only people like us can understand what kind of deep relationship develops over half a century and more.

Henry Mancini specifically composed the melody to have about an octave range to make it easy for her to sing in the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany's. A few years when she starred in My Fair Lady, 1964, all her singing parts were dubbed by Marnie Nixon, who also provided the voice for Deborah Kerr in The King and I, and Natalie Wood in West Side Story.
I heard many other singers singing "Moon River", but Lucy Thomas has the World's Best Voice, the best voice of all. She's a blessing from heaven to all those who listen her wonderful voice. In the past Century XX there wasn't sutch a beautiful voice like hers and I'm sure, that in this Century XXI will not appear another voice like her unique Voice ❤️❤❤️!!!
