What could be the problem? Thx for any help
@3:00 the wheels have telemetry has bars and colors moving up and down while I drive. Do you have a video or any info that explain what they are indicating? I would love to understand how to know what it's telling me.
They are indicating, if the wheels are turning faster (spinning) or slower (sliding) than car's speed. This is good way to detect if the wheels are e.g. spinning too much on acceleration, so you might add some more TC in ACC. It is not very scientific, but more as an indicator. Also if the bar turns all red it means the wheelspeed is 0, i.e. wheel is locked.
Typical issue is that your wheel is not actually connected to the Wifi network or that you have not enabled the F1 2020 format in the wheel. The wheel's IP should be something like 192.168.x.zzz. If it is 29.7.19.99, then it is not connected to the Wifi. You will see the IP address + the data format on the info screen.

The delays typically happen, if your home network is slow and/or if the wifi signal is weak. I solved most of those issues by bringing the wifi router next to my rig.
It doesn't work, there is a different IP address on the steering wheel, the last 3 digits are different, for example, my IP address ends with 186, on the steering wheel with 146, can this be configured somehow? =(

Damn... i follow the tutorial but nothing happens. The strange thing is that the IP number on my wheel is completely different from the ones of my home network... (not 192.168.bla bla, but completely different numbers). Maybe someting related to it?

It works. Take the 12.1 version from RaceDepartment's RF2 mods section. And if you use it in online races, then beta version of 12.2 solves that too. See the thread in RD: www.racedepartment.com/threads/telemetry-tool-for-rfactor-2.232764/

Not at the moment. The issue which is known, but cannot do much about is that some dash apps alter the ACC's broadcast.json, which breaks the ACC's broadcast data sending to my tool and requires settings reset. And if you use driver swaps, you must have both the relay and the ACC broadcasting working in order for the Tool to detect and work with driver swaps. Cheers
@@racinggametelemetry yeah It stopped working on sf1000 , ill delete everything and start again , is there any folders that saves data I should know about for a complete reinstall ?
Yeah, if your Wifi router is older or the network strength is now near 100%, there might be some issues. I solve this at my home system by bringing a Wifi router next to my desk.
You don't need AC Content manager with this. Just unzip to your system, start with the 'winRunLauncher.bat' or 'runWinAC.bat'. The Tool will ask on first run, where you want to store the lap data.
What do you mean old AC? If you mean AC before ACC, then yes. Best support is for the PC version, but the console versions work too with some limitations, like no automatic track detection.

Hey mate. Your software is awesome and I use it all the time. I recently wanted to do some engineering in a league for F1 2020. The guy plays on PS4 in America and I live in the Netherlands. I went true your videos about how to set it up but it would't work. Note I use a LAN cable and no wifi. Can you please explain or make a video about how to do it. Kind Regard Mikel
Hi, using the LAN cable is same as using Wifi. When you are in two different places, you have two options: 1) Send the data over the internet normally. Then your friend needs to know your IP address (you can see that e.g. with whatismyipaddress.com and then use the UDP forward to send the data to that address. You might need to open the UDP port on firewall to let the traffic through 2) Use VPN tunneling. Many of my users seem to be using Hamachi VPN tunnel to send data to their race engineers. I have understood, it is easy to setup and then you both are in same "network" so forwarding data is super easy. For Hamachi there are many guides on how to get it working. Cheers.
@@mikelf4086 Settings --> Network Settings To send data to race engineer, one needs to enable one of these (you can send data to 2 different addresses). So lets say your (as the race engineer) public IP address is 100.100.100.100, then your driver puts the 100.100.100.100 as the UDP forward address into the UDP forward IP address field. Your racer can leave the port to 20777. Now on your end you need to allow UDP traffic on port 20777 through from your firewall and maybe add a port forwarding rules to send the data to your computer inside your home LAN. Cheers.
@@racinggametelemetry Okay okay where getting there. Is the UDP Forward the UDP IP adress in F1 2020? and where can I allow traffic to go through port 20777? @racinggametelemetry okay. Makes sense. I will say this, though: even you don't want to develop this tool for Forza, you should still get the new Forza Motorsport when it comes out. I've had nearly every iteration of the Forza series, and it's a serious racer, even if it does tend to have weird things written into it. I think the Horizon side of Forza is more arcade than sim, but the Motorsport series has always been good for me, despite its quirks. I'm sure the new one will be, as well, when it comes out. So at least give that a solid try for your own sake. (And then update the tool 🤣)

Are there known bugs with ACC and playing online ?
Not at the moment.
The issue which is known, but cannot do much about is that some dash apps alter the ACC's broadcast.json, which breaks the ACC's broadcast data sending to my tool and requires settings reset.
And if you use driver swaps, you must have both the relay and the ACC broadcasting working in order for the Tool to detect and work with driver swaps.
Cheers
@@racinggametelemetry yeah It stopped working on sf1000 , ill delete everything and start again , is there any folders that saves data I should know about for a complete reinstall ?
Thanks for the replies mate 👍
Works every time know it just reset address to my hotspot not my wifi is all lol, Feel a bit silly, excellent work mate ✌
Used it on project cars but stay really slow to send data even with frequency on 1 or 9 and High on the tool
Yeah, if your Wifi router is older or the network strength is now near 100%, there might be some issues. I solve this at my home system by bringing a Wifi router next to my desk.
Can you please do a vid on how to get this working with assetto corsa/content manager please. Ive not been able to get it to work.
You don't need AC Content manager with this. Just unzip to your system, start with the 'winRunLauncher.bat' or 'runWinAC.bat'. The Tool will ask on first run, where you want to store the lap data.
Do it supports the old AC?
What do you mean old AC? If you mean AC before ACC, then yes. Best support is for the PC version, but the console versions work too with some limitations, like no automatic track detection.
@@racinggametelemetry I already fixed it! Tnx for your reply!
@@BrianRacingFreak How did you get it to work?
@@mdot31532 You have to start the AC.bat file and not the default one!
@@BrianRacingFreak I have followed his steps, connected my wheel to Wi-Fi and run ac bat still nothing. Do I need to be on same Wi-Fi ghz as my wheel and pc? My pc is on 5ghz and wheel is 2.4ghz
Will u do this for GT7
Nope. I don't have GT7, and I don't know what Telemetry it provides.
It doesn´t works in my pc.... :(
followed this for asseto corsa get nothing on sf1000 screen
If you use this with the console version, it might not work. With PC version is works, but sometimes when you start driving, it takes few moments, before data appears. Also you WiFi needs to be good.
@@racinggametelemetry thanks for reply. I get 100% wifi but still nothing and followed video ? Tel exports from game, but for some reason screen don't come live.
@@beardmore99 did you fix this issue? I have the same problem , the telemetry is showing on the app on my computer but the screen on the wheel is not working
@@racing4fun384 nope, didn't Manage to fix
@@beardmore99 I got it working now, the issue I was having is that I needed to connect the wheel to my home wifi after that it’s pretty much straight forward
How to get telemetry tool....name? Link? Please 👍
Check the Channel info, there are few links, but you can start from www.telemetrytool.com
@@racinggametelemetry finally got around to it , and mate your a legend 👍now I can use sf1000 with ACC , I was thinking the wheel was a waste of money as my old Android phone with sim dashboard installed gives me heaps more info/data than the sf1000 does .....but im glad I found this ....cheers
There are quite a few odd readouts though, any plans to add some more readouts like the sector times etc?
@@Skippy-id9yt I send the data in F1 2020 format, i.e. my Tool converts data from the other games (ACC, AMS2 etc) to the F1 2020 format. I haven't figured out e.g. why the delta is odd/how it gets calculated in the rim. As this is bit of a "kludge", some stuff might not work 100%. However I still keep a look on if I can fix data (e.g. the pit limiter indicator works wrong way in the rim, and I am fixing that via the conversion).
In Assetto Corsa does not work
Muchas gracias por hacer posible que luzca mi TM SF1000.
When you are in two different places, you have two options:
1) Send the data over the internet normally. Then your friend needs to know your IP address (you can see that e.g. with whatismyipaddress.com and then use the UDP forward to send the data to that address. You might need to open the UDP port on firewall to let the traffic through
2) Use VPN tunneling. Many of my users seem to be using Hamachi VPN tunnel to send data to their race engineers. I have understood, it is easy to setup and then you both are in same "network" so forwarding data is super easy. For Hamachi there are many guides on how to get it working.
Cheers.
@@racinggametelemetry Thx for the reply. Option 2 is not a option for me. With Option 1 is the UPD forward the redirect? Where is it. Kind regards
@@mikelf4086
Settings --> Network Settings
To send data to race engineer, one needs to enable one of these (you can send data to 2 different addresses).
So it has nothing to do with the redirect option in the telemetry software?
Update: I think I found the option in windows firewall to allow UDP 20777. Still need your help with the rest tho
Thanks for the help.
@@racinggametelemetry Maybe you could help me via discord. So I can share my screen. I really tried everything but it doesn't work :( Even the VPN thing. I Also checked that the IP is correct because on my PC it works if I put my IP in
edit: It looks like it only works when I am on the same wifi. Then it only recognizes the IP
All I need is a tool that will change udp telemetry from Forza to use on the screen of my sf1000.
My tool does not support Forza and I don't have it either. I have seen some links on Forza UDP data, but did not find the clear specs. But not having the game is bigger hurdle on the development/testing, even if there would be specs for the UDP format.
Please a video w/ rfactor2 plss
How do you download the telemetry tool
You can download it from the RaceDepartment.com.
There is the link in the About section to V11, which is the latest version. New V12 will be out in few days with support for F1 2022, AMS2 new tracks and ACC 'land of the free' tracks.
Would this work for acc on xbox?
No.
The console versions of ACC don't provide the Telemetry data needed for my Tool.
@@racinggametelemetry 400€ and no support für ACC :-)
