The shaving sentiment is so real!!!! I know I don't have to but I feel like I have to for comfort / beauty standards Also thought you might like to know I just adopted a cat he's 9 years old and his name is Vamp. Will love him in sickness and in health he is my little baby 🥺❤️
the shower sitting down confession is so real of you.. i’ve seen so much shower sitting down SLANDER it’s great to see the sitters getting positive representation
Portuguese gal here! Glad to know you would consider moving to Portugal, it's an amazing country for many reasons. I'm currently not in Portugal cause creative jobs are scarce and miserably paid. But yes, lots of brits and americans are moving to Portugal which has turned Lisbon into a stupidly expensive city for locals and it's not great. There's a major housing crisis right now. Jobs are probably well paid if you are an expat, I'm not aware of the differences but the national wages aren't great compared to the UK. Just thought I would add that haha I don't wanna sound like a hater but I probably do lol LOVE U JORDAN
have to mention some of my icks: bad fashion as well like you said, when boys have a lot of girl friends and girl besties (can work but I've never met or heard of a man who has a girl bestie and it didn't end up terribly), thinking that "you're not like other girls" is a compliment (ew), not listening to any female artists (I've encountered this multiple times and they are always misogynistic in some way), not liking cats (don't respect boundaries), liking meat a bit too much (weird), light blonde hair on men 😂
Hi Jordan!! This is my take on racism in Australia vs the UK (as an Asian girl born in Adelaide and raised in sydney). I’ve never been to the UK so this is gathered from my exposure to media. Hate crimes in the UK/Europe seem a lot more violent and physical, whereas in Australia it is more often verbal abuse with remarks and slurs. Main cities like Syd or Melb are super culturally diverse and accepting, however the further away you travel from the main cities to regional areas, you’ll encounter more racism and xenophobia. hope this helps
I’m recently married and I talked to my hubby beforehand that I won’t be a smooth baby 24/7 and will only wax once a month. He said he doesn’t mind. So I wax my butt and pubic hair at the salon once a month AFTER my period is done. (I use his credit card because it’s painful for me sooo he’s gotta pay some how😂) And I don’t necessarily do it for him, I do it because i feel absolutely amazing when I’m freshly waxed everywhere for a good 10 days before everything grows back again
46:36 I agree with this so much… so many ppl don’t think about how long of a commitment an animal is… indoor cats can live for 15+ years comfortably. They’re not just hands off low maintenance animals… they require so much attention & love to be happy. My Siamese boy is a handful and he’s an honest sweetheart of an Angel… he never tears or rips anything up, rarely knocks stuff down, but needs to be played with multiple times a day & also requires lots of cuddles + love. Luckily I love him and nothing makes me happier than petting him until he reaches kitty-happiness.
UK🤝NZ: Houses not being able to handle the climate. NZ houses typically cannot handle winter due to being drafty as fuck and quite often have zero (0) insulation. Typical daytime temp where I am in winter is 14 Celsius and at night, 7 degrees. Summer is typically 30 and humid, 15 overnight. Our ancestors thought it was Fiji or some shit when they built most houses, especially the villas....our climate is sub-tropical and heavy emphasis on sub. Summer's with the draftiness is great though! - if your house doesn't face North and have the sun on it.
hi I'm a trans man and this video helped me a lot 😭☠️ just wanted to say thank you and i love all your content it's really entertaining and feels like listening to a friend talk which is nice company as well as ur video essays being really educational too, i dont rlly comment usually but basically thanks lmao
Every year when summer hits I'm just thankful that I no longer board and have to boil in a tiny box of a room with the hot water pipes running through. Actual nightmare. Currently at home where for the few months of the year I'm thankful that my room is drafty. Also completely obsessed with tomatoes (and cucumber). Happens every spring/summer. On the bad relationship with parents I also feel like at some point if you can see that your parents are putting no effort in to grow/change then you really need to ask yourself what can you viably get out of your relationship where its at and whether having that is worth it. I spent quite some time mourning the lack of a healthy functional father/daughter relationship. You shouldn't invest any more energy trying to better the relationship if its not reciprocated. As you age you'll come to see your parents more as a person that you no longer need and rather someone you either want or don't want in your life. I currently view my parents more as older siblings that I can have fun with but don't expect that much compassion or empathy from them (one less than the other) and I'm okay with that. I just set boundaries between us on how much time I spend with them or what we do/talk about to keep my peace. Also love the change of scenery. Thanks for another very enjoyable episode!
I live in WA, Australia, and I fell pretty lucky to have been born here. BUT I do feel that a lot of people are pretty 'casually' racist/homophobic/intolerant of other people. Which can be so frustrating, because the govt paints Australia to be a multicultural place, and while we have many people move here from all over the world, its still disappointing to know that there is still a large group of the population that is intolerant. I love our beaches, scenery and weather. I mean it gets pretty hot here but atleast our buildings are built for it. idk what my point is but yeah its a lovely place, most people are kind but there are always gonna be rude, cruel people yk
YES, I'm in melbourne which so many people think is the more "progressive" city/state but there's also so much casual racism, particularly towards Asian and Arabic people
We live such different lives and have very different interests (we both like fashion but what I like is different but with lots of crossover) but at the same time I adore just hearing you talk about your life, and find you so fun ngl It might be the 'braincell activate' vibe of both of us having ADHD but still lmao also, a hangover is mostly dehydration, make sure to up your electrolytes! I don't drink, but I have POTS and low blood pressure so need more salt than the average person. I have electrolyte gummies and all sorts haha The hang-xiety is likely partially your body going 'oh my god where is the w a t e r'
Girl I think the world switched our weathers because I'm in a south east Asian country near the equator and the weather nowadays is giving very British weather 😅 it would be rainy in the morning then sunny then rainy in the afternoon I feel like we've switched weather seasons cuz y'all be getting our supposed hot ass weather hahahaha 😅
I shave my legs when I go on international holiday and my armpits whenever i feel like it but recently probs my ezcema whenever i shave i get a rash/my ezcema flairs up so i just trim my armpit and lady bits and just keep it pushing idk i dont really feel the need to cause for the most part no one notices nor do i feel like doing it either With the moving thing I live in the UK (sheffield) and tbh its the only city i could see myself living in in the future but im even feeling in moving to the US thats how bad it is the UK for me 😭 been applying for jobs in canada Korea, Hong Kong, Australia and the US let i just want to leave immediately
I live in Brisbane, Australia! I’m not sure if people outside of the Australia generally know Brisbane?? It’s deffs the third biggest city tho! I love Australia & I love the weather (I live in Qld so it’s warm weather most of the year) & the general culture! I’m white, however my work is very multicultural & I hate to say that Australia is definitely very racist, whether it’s casually or blatantly. But that being said, I think a lot of people call other people out when they’re being racist whether it be intentional or not. I also find that there are a lot of cultures & religions in Australia & you can definitely find support & familiarity within those groups. Compared to other parts of the world I think Australia is really well off, but it’s definitely going through a bit of a housing crisis at the moment. Somehow Brisbane costs more to live in then Melbourne now?! Melbourne is the trendy, big city not Brisbane💀 It’s also worth pointing out that our public transport is ass (particularly in Qld) & that our ‘cities’ are not like other cities. Brisbane is very wide spread & while technically I live in Brisbane, I have a friend who lives an hour drive (no traffic) from me & she also lives in Brisbane. Also travel between big cities & interstate is quite dramatic compared to the UK, since Australia is so spread out. But saying that, I can drive to multiple different beaches within an hour to 1.5 hours of my house for a day trip!
pay in Australia is really good but cost of living is fairly high in the bigger cities. coming from someone who grew up in England and lives in Australia now there are for sure racist people in Australia but I would say england is actually more racist
My problem with Molly is that she’s come across very fake. She should’ve been upfront with wanting to get to know Zach instead of constantly putting on an act in front of everyone. However Jess is way too critical (possibly from jealousy?) and Mitch is just insane!
we love a lem cameo!
I love that we have absolutely nothing in common but it feels like I’m having a chat with a bestie
