I think is worst that he still tries to take objects as text boxes (the ones that actually work in the syntax. sorry for bad english).. "key is win" is ok, but "(drawing of a key) is win" is not
I feel like the lesson would have been more obvious if they used "MELT" and "HOT" for that puzzle, then swapped out the words in the next one, to show correlation of principles. As it stands, though, it's unknowable when the Egg will figure it out.
See the thing is tho. In Episode 1 he figured out that he can just make "Baba is you & baba is win", but in this one he still needs 5 minutes to figure it out. So I wouldn't put too much money on him actually understanding/remembering the prevent-Rule

Northernlion's solution to #13 was so insane, I love it. It's 100% not how the puzzle's supposed to be solved, but you have to respect break everything strats.
This seems to be the type of game that there is no "right way" for the puzzle to be solved. It's pretty open to messing around with and there are times I think I come up with a solution that he doesn't.

These ultra creative, roundabout ways of beating levels will screw him in the future because he's failing to learn important mechanics where they're easiest to learn. I love it though, I hope he plays loads of this.
How a normal person solves puzzles: consider all the tools available to you, how they interconnect and then working back from the win condition. How NL solves a puzzle: 1. Do a random action 2. Did anything change? Yes = good, no = bad.

Just looking at the words, it makes perfect sense to assume that "door is open", for example, would just let you walk through the "open door".

Watching NL come up with an entirely different solution to lake 13 was infuriating and also a glorious example to how well designed this game is. And that solution for island 3, instead of using "rock is you" to march the rocks into the water to clear a path for baba to get flag. God damn the puzzle design is pristine.
In most games if you see the game state change you assume you're getting somewhere, and follow that hunch. Not the case in baba is you. The fact that NL blindly accepts these wrong leads is part of why he's so bad at this. edit: he did better this time though

He's brute forcing things by just doing all possible actions and any change in the game state is seen as good because something at least happened. It so often feels like he just doesn't ever sit back and actually think about anything beyond his next move.
There were several puzzles where Northernlion missed the obvious (from my point of view) solutions but solved it in a different way. I was so mad because I tend to think there is only one solution to puzzles. He just kept making moves that went against that solution. However, he somehow pulls a backdoor win out of his pocket and places it onto the table, and I'm just left standing there thinking, "How the hell did you get that? The location of this info is forbidden knowledge. It doesn't even show up on the legendary map of logical problem-solving."
Why does Nl consistently try and put the sprite as a rule instead of the word of a thing. Like he puts the little crab in front of an is and a win instead of the freakin word crab
NL's ability to find the most cursed but still working possible solution to any puzzle is amazing. Hopefully NL continues to produce this blessed/cursed content for a while
This is pretty fun. Trying to solve every puzzle before NL can figure it out with the handicap of not being able to test things by moving stuff around. 100% win rate so far. Ok, kind of hard when your solutions are different than his so you don't know for sure if they'd work. Also "we have to be able to push this rock", if only you could "PUSH" that "ROCK IS". I can't believe he can say a solution out loud and still not get it. Then he basically solves it a different way (removing one water just in wrong row) and still fails to see it.
I'm genuinely amazed at how many different ways he finds to do the same thing which is still wrong every time. I'm also amazed at his ability to be one step from a solution and try everything else first.
This is just the beginning of the game... No way is he finishing this series haha. Good luck NL. By the way, things cannot be OPENED unless they are SHUT in the first place. Then maybe you can put something that OPENs them into them.

I love watching nl basically solve a puzzle only to back track then solve it the hardest way possible
got to admit, 23 minutes in I was so set on "rock is you" to get the rock out of the corner that I couldn't see that NL wasn't being an idiot. Good job NL.
