Hey guys! Welcome to Besik Gabashvili, an ‘abandoned’ soviet-style fairground built in the 1960s in Kutaisi, Georgia! Despite the theme park being open to the public, many of the rides are dated, broken and overgrown with plants. We love this about it - it feels trapped in time, lost, abandoned and a great spot to take photographs which are in the video!
We’ve been in Kutaisi for 2 weeks now, Georgia’s 3rd and oldest city! In this episode we will bring you with us to the abandoned soviet fairground, a 15 minute walk out of Kutaisi centre which provides the perfect introduction to this small, charming city.
Neither of us had much knowledge about Georgia before we came here, and there are very few people that we know who have been here before. Our first impressions of Georgia are extremely positive, having met so many kind people and friendly dogs.
