When that violin kicks in 1:01 I get huge goosebumps. It almost sounds like desperation and time running out before something devastating happens. It's beautiful, FromSoftware!
That's gotta be Yuka Kitamura. It immediately reminded me of the unused version of Dark Souls 3 theme, had a similar violin motif. Love that she gets to use it this time.
Ashes of Ariandel trailer had frieda’s ost, ringed city had geal’s, old hunters had ludwigs. So maybe this is an ost for one of the bosses I wonder who.
Gloam Queen, Miquella, Twinbird etc.. I feel like it’s a character with some sort of godlike power while also some heroism I also feel like it’s a feminine boss, due to the significant female choirs, so I don’t think godwyn And Messmer, I feel, will end up with a much more nefarious track. So not him
@@crazygamer-um1ey I think this is still Yuka Kitamura, it sounds a lot like her and she left Fromsoft on august last year, if the DLC has been under development since April 2022 its fair to think this DLCs ost was her last work with them. She was absolutely amazing all the way through her career with Miyazaki.
If you want a chunk of this undistorted (the violin part) you can go to the messmer statue collectors edition trailer and its the clean track for almost 50 seconds
The triler OST/music/song is a mashup of unreleased versions of: Divine Beast Dancing Lion, The Twin Moon Knight (1:21 = 1:38) and (I'm not able to find the last one)
The violin at 0:58 seems awfully close to Jori’s theme. It’s far better here, but I’m not sure it was part of the unreleased Twin Moon Knight song. Sure wish we could find it.
It's sounds like a honorable battle, something like Morgott's theme, I think it's probably Messmer's theme. It's cool but I wonder if we will get something darker like Fortissax, Mohg, Rykard or even Astel theme which has that Lovecraftian, alien vibe (Maybe if we'll get a possible Godwyn or Miquella battle), we need something Bloodborne-ish in this DLC!
@frankgreenwood4649 yeah, thus, they actually did a pretty good job too as unclean as it may sound. Picture how many audio fx were in the trailer. This dude had to use software to mix it all out while it was all confined to one track as a final master, huge ask haha
Elden Ring despite being the phenomenal game it is did lack abit in the ost section, it has cool osts but for the size it is some parts feel lacking. So far nothing has outdone DS3 when it comes to that for me but this trailer ost gives me hope that ERSE will do better.
"Feels lacking" is your personal opinion, so you can't really pin anything on the game. Besides, how can you not see your bias? You clearly have played DS3 before Elden Ring so you are bound to have a more personal connection to it, regardless. Objectively speaking, Elden Ring was a masterclass in phenomenal OSTs.
I just hate how the Fromsoft composers always just spam the same choir samples on every track. 1:00 this is the best part because those are absent, and 6 seconds later we go right back to the 'ahh, ooh' and that's all you can hear. It's like they just can't resist not having them on every track, especially in DS3, god it was just awful, everything sounded the same. They certainly improved in Elden Ring, and had multiple composers, instead of Kitamura doing 95% of it, so there was atleast some variance.
