    Hello Simon, can you please make a video on how to volley properly vs a good passing shoot ? For example, my approach shoot was not good enough and the opponent got to the ball with good balance and in good condition to hit a good passing shoot, how should I behave on the net when this happens ? Cheers

      I feel like there is already great content on your channel on improving one’s game, so hard to say, but would always welcome a video on your personal opinions of the right string and tension for your type of racquet/type of player? @@TopTennisTrainingOfficial

    It's a bit of a stretch but someday you guys should collab with Karue from My Tennis HQ! I'd love to see a set between Alex and Karue!

      @@TopTennisTrainingOfficial Simon Alex. I'm an intermediate lclub level player in USA. I am on a men's team, we match play against other clubs. What's the right mixture of drills, point play, of court training, diet, fitness etc.? What's an appropriate weekly schedule for example? I'm doing physio 4x/week and on court 2-3x/week. I have a job and children so cannot train daily but I can do some fitness daily at least. Can you perhaps make a video or series on this? I can already hit a decent groundstroke, volleys, overheads and all 3 serves with placement. Thanks

    What is the correct grip in volley?

    Can you make a much needed video of how to tell if a ball is in or out? I think many people don't know there is a surface area that hits the ground, not the entire ball counts and please explain the consequences of making bad calls and having a cheater reputation.

    excellent video! please look into normalizing your audio levels. the automatic levels on your mic are making a mess because the wind will peak and then your voice is super quiet relatively. thanks for the great instruction!

      Sorry about the audio, I filmed this lesson on my phone with no mic.
      We normally have a proper set up but that day I was traveling and filmed a few lessons before my flight

    I guess the other side of the equation is advanced volleying like stop or drop volleys placing the racket farther back and not in front a ‘la Mcenroe’?

      @@TopTennisTrainingOfficial I'm working hard at developing a better kick serve but placement is still and issue. A video on kick serve drills for placement and how to mix it up with slice serve would be helpful. I know you've covered these in past videos but maybe one that incorporated all three strategically would be great. Thanks!

    Do you guys believe that there’s a level we’re serve and volley doesn’t work anymore?

    • @TopTennisTrainingOfficial
      @TopTennisTrainingOfficial  Рік тому +5

      No, serve and volley can and does work at any level if done correctly. It's not possible to S & V against Rafa on clay and expect to win, but you can always mix it up and throw off the opponent by using it at times on slower courts and you can use it more often on faster surfaces

    works great against anyone 4.0 and below who has weak passing shots. 6-0 easy. 5.0 or higher cant go to net every point have to pick your spots. thats where i just grind it out using drops shots moon balls or slice i like to use junk ball tactics just to mess with peoples heads keep them off balance. i am all court style player i never panic cause worse case i can just win on stamina alone and rallying so i minus well practice my serve and volley as a plan A tactic then junk ball them a little just to practice everything i can in one set because often they dont wanna play a 2nd set after losing 6-0 in the first.
