Yes, there are sweet spots to be found when sequencing percussion with the 0-Ctrl. I did myself, once, a few months back, even video’d it- but damned if I can repeat it!
Amazing video, again! Love these sounds. I am wondering if pressure points/brains and LXR drum or 4ms Quad clock distributor/wxpander and LXR drums would work too.
You could consider getting a Doepfer A-151, which would expand it to 24 steps. This works amazingly well. Maybe you've seen this one: ua-cam.com/video/CEUjR3j4_a8/v-deo.html
@@CinematicLaboratory Yes i have played with that. I was thinking about being able to sequence 3 or 4 voices independently, so not only more steps but 3 or 4 sets of gate/cv out.
"Fun" as you say .. or maybe it could be put as "ear catchy" .. with a mix of some randomness, along with precise elements .. ah, I wished I knew how it can sound so good, at times. I've got some practice modular pieces, of music, on my PC .. with most of them being at 60 BPM. And I have a ticking wall clock, next to the speakers .. and the difference of between these 2 sounding devices, though not in synch, .. is quite nice, at times, .. that delayed/2nd voice, accidentally being pretty musical.
I have O control love it but not many drum modules, I’d like a CV/ Pitch sequence that emulates, mimics Keith Moon Jon Bonham Mitch Mitchell ELM Gene Krupa Miles all old time drummers Ginger Baker loads skin bashers
Those modules are really very powerful, I can produce incredible sounds!
Yes🎉, will try that with my 0-CTRL ! Thank you for this excellent video !

I’m taming the Idum leaves Ana tree system as my weirdest gate trigger set up

They will definitely work!
I wish 0-crtl had 16 steps, one or two more rows and some more weird patching possibilities. Was thinking about buying a second one.

Making a cool groove isn't as easy as it looks, but 'less is more' always helps.
