These lines would be a lot shorter if schools would have taught financial discipline. If your making $100,000 a year and can't afford to feed yourself after being out of work for a month, you are what is wrong with America.

S O While I agree that wasting food is horrible, your simplistic solution is not as straightforward as it may seem. The supply chain for most of the wasted food is not directly compatible with individual consumers. It would take work and coordination at the Federal Government level to achieve your goal. Unfortunately, the inept/lazy Republican leadership (lead by Trump) does not have the organizational skills, knowledge, or ability to lead this effort.

Ibrahim Osman This responsibly would fall under the Executive Branch of Government (you should have learned this in your high school Civics class). Of course our Executive Branch, currently, is operating with about half of the Cabinet filled with acting Secretaries, instead of Permanent Secretaries. And the President is an inept, ineffective, corrupt Reality TV Show Conman.

Did you realize that South Korea had their first Covid 19 patient the exact same day as the USA? Do you realize that South Korea did not shut down their economy? Do you realize that South Korea stopped the spread of the virus with less than 300 deaths? You know why? Because they don’t have dumb people voting for a Reality TV Show/Conman President.
It's strange to see people in expensive or atleast in many semi expensive cars that don't have money to eat.
Point well taken. I worked for 47 years, and just retired, and I do not have a car. But these 'so called' poor people can afford a car that I never could. Interesting!!!

How do many of these people get to a food bank if they sell their car?
They're so far in debt all it took was one missed pay check ... They've got large payments on those cars and everything else in their home. That's why.
@@leschurchill804 with the coronavirus many people found themselves without a job for months or even permanently if their job never reopened. Their cars were probably purchased/leased long before that and they had no way of knowing they would be in this situation. Don't judge people for wanting to feed their families

These food suppliers are hope itself of the US and I hope they are going to make this again in the same place for hopeless Americans.
It won't be long before the food banks run out and can't help either. Farmers crops are ready for harvesting and no one to harvest it. Food is rotting in the fields, dairy farmers having to chuck out all their milk. Many innocent people will now die of starvation which is far worse than dying from the virus.
@JPD Fat doesn't act as 'energy stores' for when there is no food. Obese people tend to be hungrier because of hormones. Obese people will suffer the most where skinny and fit people can leverage Intermittent Fasting to get them through difficult times.
@JPD and yet they will starve and be hangry because they have not leveraged autophagy. Their fat will not sustain them or guard them from hunger. You clearly have not felt a hormonal driven hunger in your life.

If the food supply and necessary items are not out there to get from source a or b what happens next?dip into the gov't food in warehouses.to help supply the food banks.I can't even get toilet paper for myself how do I help others?also what happens when all our hero helpers get sick who helps then?gov't t is going to have to use the military to man up the hosp.and nursing homes.
Stop complaining about tp and use the shower with soap after you have had a poo. Plus keeps u clean.. if you need to wipe the front, use a small cloth and wash afterwards. Plus how many times do you need to go.. if u need to pee, pee on the plants... (men only)

They can quarantine the food box for two weeks in their own storage. In food banks and food pantries across America, one can get to try out or taste more varieties of free cans of food that one had ever bought from the supermarket before.Whether it's one family like yours or mine or the family of Bill Gates or home of Joe Biden, we only try out so certain varieties of canned food and produce from the supermarket that our parents liked. At food pantries in some states, they fill up the cars with free stuff at local food pantries, partly because of the coronavirus. My cousin who works from home, finds time to drive his expensive car to any food bank within drivable distance.

Food panda giving free food ? This video is about giving free food to people with no food. That is why they are queuing up to get the free food. Food panda is a food delivery services that requires you to pay for the service and the food. Can you the reporters confirm if food panda is giving free food ?

Paul S most of the people live paycheck to paycheck or need to go to save money for rent and bills. America’s top %% live well but the people being most affected are the lower class people.

Most of these people are deep in debt ... Most of those cars you saw probably have large payments... Americans tend to overextend themselves and most do not save. That's why you're seeing this.

Plant fruit trees that give storable food people
Go back to the countryside and plant trees and have a garden to feed yourself and your neighbors
