Yes, I’ve seen it done!👎
RELATABLE TO THE FRUSTRATION OF TIGHT SPACES. Cussing, yelling, threatening to sell the rig, and when you finish it’s then followed by “that wasn’t that hard” 😂😂
Not supposed to use compressed air on a K&N because it is an oiled gauze filter and compressed air can blow holes through the filter material. All you need to do to clean a K&N is spray it down with the K&N degreaser ( After you have tapped it a few times to remove heavy debris like the rodent droppings.) and LIGHTLY scrub with a mild detail brush then rinse with warm water and leave to air dry and finally oil it.
couple of things to remember when using K&N: Dont use hot water, the cotton will shrink & cause a spot where dirt can get in even after oiling it. Also, dont use compressed air any higher than 30 psi this again will cause an imperfection that will allow dirt in even after oiling it. I usually clean the filter, allow it to dry in the sun then look thru the filter in the sunlight. You can see where the bad spots are in the filter. You should be mindful of these imperfections because as K&N states with their warranty that it will last a long time but only if serviced properly. :)
To explain the glug glug situation: It happens when the fluid flowing out fills the entire exit hole, so as the fluid pours out the empty space inside the container increases. Once enough fluid has poured out, the space inside will have increased enough to where the pressure inside is less than the pressure outside. This results in the air outside pushing the fluid back in momentarily to equalize the pressure in that empty pocket. This is the glug glug. Same as when you fill a 2L bottle and dump it by just flipping it upside down. So to stop it you need to pour it in a way where the fluid flowing out doesn't completely cover the opening. So for a full bottle you'd want to pour it with the opening at the top, which can be done by pouring the sideways (like in the video) or rotate it 90 degrees to where the exit hole is at the top (so flip the bottle over compared to how you poured it at 16:07) The oil container may even have a logo on the side showing to pour it with the opening at the top for this very reason. If you type "how to pour oil" into Google images one of the first results is a bottle with this image on it.
Use a 2 liter or smaller plastic bottle or cardboard, trim to fit between oil drain and lift arm. use to flow oil past arm of lift into drain pan. Keep a little cleaner. May need a hand from a friend or family member. Great videos!
Freddy, how can you be sure the cooling system is air free? I'm sure you're supposed to crack open those bleeder valves once the engine has warmed up and the thermostat is open for the coolant to fully cycle through the system. I would check the cooling system again for air.
@@nitronamous let's hope they're some common VW/Audi part no. (or at least exactly the same part if you know the cross reference and don't mind the logo)
Good job m8, good videos. As a professional I like to suggest you, next time when you change coolant fluids, wait for fans to turn on. That way you know that thermostat has opened and all the air has escaped the sistem. Wait a bit for engine to cool down and than top off the fluid. Greetings from Slovenia :)
Here's something I used to do on my street race cars. I would wait for a dark night and position my car away from any light. I would wait until my eyes got max open and then start my engine and look at the plug wires. I was looking for spark leaks to ground. It's amazing what you might see. I was looking at my 63 Vette with pretty new Delco plug wires and there was a little lightning bolt going from a wire to a heater hose. With old wires you can have a light show all over the place and that's not good.
Or use filters that have oils on them, can cause the MAF sensor and other components that need to read the air fuel mixture. Resulting in bad readings of the sensors and air fuel mixture.

Tavarish, I totally enjoy your Chanel. Keep up the nice work. I’m looking forward for more things to come. Greetings from Berlin, Germany
Suprised you didn't get the Tony the welding Jedi to weld that rusting metal cross bar.
I saw that also and thought that now there is no way I’m buying a lambo that rust in just 12 years, especially on a truck drivers salary.
@@KPMACHINE1 This isn't any type of Lambo its been through hell. It'll need very much more special need and love. And lots of money.
Hey Freddy, for future reference if you put a rag on the spot where the oil will hit, it will make the stream much more controllable.
Good job iridium come pre gapped because your NOT SUPPOSED TO BEND THE TANG FFS
He’s watching to much B is build 😂😂
Not for Lamborghini vehicles they don't lol
you do such great videos - perfect mix of technical and entertainment. Plus, you give us confidence to try to do things ourselves! Thanks man.
Just reminded me to go check the air filter. Something I tend to overlook.
Funny thing, that seems to be the first thing people forget about with lawn mowers! I find a lot of non-running lawn mowers like this on the side of the street. Good way to find a free one!!
I really just like how down to earth you make a spark plug and oil change sound especially on a Lamborghini. I'm Loving this series despite being super late to the party, Tavarish. Keep up the great work!
You HAVE to make a video driving it without the body panels
8:10 the excitement is just radiating off of him as he does those spark plugs very well put Tavarish
Me: buy pre-owned, cheap car (but well-taken care) from a family member, immediately changes oil with some intermediate oil brand, and after a couple thousand miles, then change again with top-notch stuff, just to be sure.
Tavarish: buy a Lamborghini that's been sitting for god-knows how long without any love, and immediately goes to a rev battle.

I mean if something happened it'd just be more content right?
I use the same Oil in my e-46 wagon and I noticed the same smoothness first time . You will also notice less to no oil consumption with Liqui Moly 5W-40.
I checked the gap on my girlfriend's teeth and they are .023" too. She also thinks it's cool when I call her Murcielago.
He misplaced his decimal. It's 0.23. You may want to get her braces.
@@stardogMLB Good to know. lol
Drain for pain you are suppose to put a wrench on the block to secure, then turn the bolt. You torqued that block sideways pretty hard.
Hollywood cars... Mickey mouse did a number on that filter.
@Tavarish you can just put a little dawn dish soap in a bucket with warm water and wash the K&N filter and let it dry a little and spray on WD40 its the same as the K&N oil and cheaper. been doing it for years with no problems.
It’s a Lamborghini... spend $80 on new air filters?
OMG! RIGHT!?!
I agree to a point but they are k&n they are designed to be cleaned oiled and reused soooo
@@Highgear145 sad for your cars. Do some investigating on the damage your doing.
@@Highgear145 Ever heard of people using catch cans? It's to prevent EXACTLY what K&N filters cause. Intake valves carbined up, as he mentions in the video MAF sensor failure & false readings, IAT sensor problems. It goes on & on. You don't see the power loss immediately & damage. It's gradual, and happens overtime. If manufactures could get more mileage & power from every car that easy, WHY wouldn't they be installing them if they weren't detrimental? K&N spends a LOT of money suckering people in with flashy ads though... And what he says about over oiling them being the only time they do damage.. WRONG.
I'm an automotive engineer for what it's worth.
@@Highgear145 It's ok there big boy. :D
As you first said. Your HEAVILY invested in the Tom Foolery, smoke & mirrors yourself. And I've got NO question you'll argue k&n is the second coming of Christ until your blue in the face because all that.
As far as not being an engineer. SHHHHH!!! Don't tell my boss! :D :D :D
Great content again Freddy!👍👍 However, at 7:28, that’s reeeally not a good way to gap spark plugs⚡️... get yourself an inexpensive *_Spark Plug Gap Tool_* , that way you won’t run the risk of cracking the porcelain/ceramic parts of the plug (often not seen by the naked eye 👁!!). Yes, I’ve seen it done!👎
22min video, Didnt even realize, Loving the videos, Mr T
RELATABLE TO THE FRUSTRATION OF TIGHT SPACES. Cussing, yelling, threatening to sell the rig, and when you finish it’s then followed by “that wasn’t that hard” 😂😂
"they are not pre gapped"
Maybe not for a Lamborghini, but the ones for my 2GS were pre-gapped and I didn't have to change a thing
right, which is why I said "not for a Lamborghini"
until the box gets dropped in the store and they are no longer pre-gapped
You should repair chassis from holes and rust before paintjob
Not supposed to use compressed air on a K&N because it is an oiled gauze filter and compressed air can blow holes through the filter material. All you need to do to clean a K&N is spray it down with the K&N degreaser ( After you have tapped it a few times to remove heavy debris like the rodent droppings.) and LIGHTLY scrub with a mild detail brush then rinse with warm water and leave to air dry and finally oil it.
The "trouble hose" runs parallel to the chaos pan, right???😁
couple of things to remember when using K&N: Dont use hot water, the cotton will shrink & cause a spot where dirt can get in even after oiling it. :)
I was a bit worried you were going to suck that mouse into the engine without the filters on HAHAHA.
That was the reason for the back-fire on the first start up. LOL Kidding - I hope.
To explain the glug glug situation:
It happens when the fluid flowing out fills the entire exit hole, so as the fluid pours out the empty space inside the container increases.
So for a full bottle you'd want to pour it with the opening at the top, which can be done by pouring the sideways (like in the video) or rotate it 90 degrees to where the exit hole is at the top (so flip the bottle over compared to how you poured it at 16:07)
The oil container may even have a logo on the side showing to pour it with the opening at the top for this very reason. If you type "how to pour oil" into Google images one of the first results is a bottle with this image on it.
When you learn more from a guy on UA-cam than you’ve learned all year in school. 😂👍🏼
Use a 2 liter or smaller plastic bottle or cardboard, trim to fit between oil drain and lift arm. use to flow oil past arm of lift into drain pan. Keep a little cleaner. May need a hand from a friend or family member. Great videos!
Let’s go! Notification squad?!
Freddy, how can you be sure the cooling system is air free? I'm sure you're supposed to crack open those bleeder valves once the engine has warmed up and the thermostat is open for the coolant to fully cycle through the system. I would check the cooling system again for air.
It looks like you re-used the old coils. Bad idea, IMO. Coils do lose efficiency with age, and those are 16 years old.
G. M. Frazier I’m with you on this one but can you imagine how much that will cost! At minimum $100 each x 12! Let’s say $2000 since it’s a Lambo!
My sport bike were 160 I bet there way more then that lol
@@nitronamous let's hope they're some common VW/Audi part no. (or at least exactly the same part if you know the cross reference and don't mind the logo)
Good job m8, good videos. As a professional I like to suggest you, next time when you change coolant fluids, wait for fans to turn on. That way you know that thermostat has opened and all the air has escaped the sistem. Wait a bit for engine to cool down and than top off the fluid. Greetings from Slovenia :)
Stopped the DDE video for this one haha
Maurits Krone I am dead🤣
dde video was pretty good tbh
first rule of K&N maintenance, you do not put pressurized air thru the filter! it will destroy the cotton mesh.
Thank you for the Simpsons nod in the intro. That made my day. Its only a little wet; It’s still good! It’s still good!
Plz don't use impact to install plugs 👍
O rlly?
I thought everyone yeeted their plugs in
Or use filters that have oils on them, can cause the MAF sensor and other components that need to read the air fuel mixture. Resulting in bad readings of the sensors and air fuel mixture.
I would highly recommend you apply anti-seize to the sp threads and those drain plug(s).
